Tab Mix Plus

I'm frustrated right now and I wonder if I there is a TMP setting I've missed that might alleviate my frustration. When the active tab is right-most, I'll middle click on a link somewhere and then wonder if the link is actually loaded because the row of tabs doesn't move. A very high percentage of the time, it did get created. Often enough to induce cries of anguish, if it didn't. Particularly annoying is when the vagaries of loading tabs leaves that little space between the tabs and the arrows buttons on the right. You see it STAY empty and then assume the tab failed to create. And you know what Mom said about assuming things.

Right now, I'm using Multi-Row, which is A solution, but not preferred on my cinema-sized monitor. I work hard to squeeze all the height I can for the actual Firefox window. And I have Tab Counter, so I can SEE the number increment, but I always look at it after the fact and can't righteously say whether the number I now see is one more than what was there before.

Ideally, what I would like to see is the current tab move left if it is NOT the left-most tab in the displayed row of tabs. Still doesn't do ALL the job, but the motion there is a little easier to detect peripherally. And I wouldn't mind having an option to denote a SINGLE tab being added. A simple little click (to each, their own sound choice). It's important to NOT use the sound indicator in multiple tabs being opened from a folder for fear of setting off a cacaphony of whatever simple sound you have selected.

Now, IS there a setting that I've missed that gets all or part of my desired behaviour? If not, can I suggest at least the optional sound method for a future version?

That dev build seems to be much better, especially about the peekaboo gap between the tabs and the arrows. The only remaining issue seems to be when middle clicking a link on the bookmarks bar when the selected tab is right most and it is the last one. The new tab gets created, but it's hidden off-screen to the right of the current tab. The desired behaviour would be for the tabs to scroll left, leaving the current tab active (as is the current case) and show the newly-created tab to its right.

Otherwise, I continue to be appreciative of this add-in.
