I have a complex problem which involves a combination of addons and an external program. It causes the multi-row function to fail and puts all the tabs on one long row. I've tested this on a new profile. If you're interested or just bored maybe you can help me confirm this. I am using TMP latest development build, FF11 (also happens on Nightly), and XP SP3.
You need the Internet Download Manager program
website:
http://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/download:
http://mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com/idman609.exeAfter IDM is installed make sure its addon 'IDM CC' is enabled in AOM. Also enable the advanced browser integration in Downloads/Options/General/ 'Use advanced browser integration' and see that the mozilla firefox box is checked.
Then you need the
TextArea Cache addon. You can leave TextArea Cache settings to default. Enable the multi-row feature in TMP. I don't think tab width matters but I have mine set to 158 to 250.
Create 2 full rows of tabs (if you have less than 1.5 row of tabs it doesn't seem to happen). Open a site where you can use TextArea Cache, like
Pastebin. Enter some text and wait a few seconds for TAC to save the text. Then restart firefox. When firefox loads again you should see one long row of tabs. This problem doesn't happen if the tab that loads up on firefox restart is the AOM or a blank tab. If you didn't experience the problem, go to Pastebin and enter some text, wait for TAC to save it, click the TAC icon in statusbar and click Empty the Cache, move to another tab, and restart and see if it occurs.
If the problem happens you can click the '+' new tab button and that will restore the multi-rows.
Can anyone else recreate this problem?
