Tab Mix Plus

V. 0.3.8.7 running in FF 3.6.28

When I duplicate a tab to a new window, the new window opens but the window is blank (no tab content displayed) UNTIL I do a PF5 refresh. Is this normal action?

No, but try a clean profile. Details in the troubleshooting tips linked in my signature. Is there a reason why you use such an old Fx (and TMP) version? As far as i know, 3.6.28 is the last update. Fx is now at 11.

Because the browser works fine. I don't have any concerns with it being too slow. It allows me to effectively browse webpages. Why do I need to waste my time continuously updating FF, worrying about extensions not working and losing functionality like the status bar and more because FF engineers are trying to justify their existence by continuously tweaking FF code? When something works fine, leave it alone!

Thanks but not worth the effort. I hardly use that functionality, just stumbled across it today.

Just a few points however:

   That's just the point. It doesn't 'work fine' - there were numerous security updates since your version.
2. Good exts. have been updated and are updated to work with latest stable releases mainly due to the 'rapid release' Fx exercises now and the way AMO is set up. If an ext. is not updated to work with latest official release(-s), it doesn't worth to be used.
3. Statusbar is not or should not be used by exts. any longer. The new addons bar is much more flexible - to begin with, as any other toolbar, it now allows placing icons which statusbar did not. But if you really miss it for whatever reason, there styles and an ext. that puts it all back. I personally have no use for it but i hear it works nicely. More here.
4. You came here to report a problem. Nobody but you can figure why/what's happening in your installation. If you want help with it, you need to do some work to find out - troubleshooting tips sticky explains it all. If it's a bug/incompatibility with some other ext., your finding might help to fix it. But if it's too much bother for you, it will not get solved.
