Tab Mix Plus

I am using Firefox 10.0.2 and installed Tab mix plus

Today I found a problem with the session restore problem,
when I use the build-in Session Restore, and use task manager and stop the process of firefox.exe(this can test if that function works)
then run firefox, it just open a blank tab but not a session restore dialog.

However, Tabmix session manager works in this situation, it can restore those tabs.
It 's great but I still want to know why the build-in session restore can't work but TMP can ? And how to make the build-in work ?

make sure you enabled Crash Recovery

browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash

I 've done this before. It doesn't work.
I 've checked all browser.sessionstore in about config and deleted sessionstore.js sessionstore.bak session.rdf in the profile folder.
Because some article on the web said it can solve the problem.

By the way, can you tell me what is the function of session.rdf ?

That's where TMP stores sessions.

Perhaps there are some problems with my firefox.

when I enter about:sessionrestore
It' s blank there.

And "History-Restore Previous session" is unavailable

look in Tools > Options > Privacy

make sure you did not set Firefox to "Never remember history"
or if you set it to "use custom settings for history" make sure you did not set "clear history when Firefox closes"
to remove your "Browsing History"
