i need more information :
your platform, theme and Tabmix settings
what are you refer to by mouse-wheel "click" ?
is it middle click on tab , tab bar , scroll button or rotating the wheel ?
Platform: Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit) SP1, fully patched
on a Dell Studio XPS 1645 laptop
FF: 9.0.1
TMP: 0.4.0pre.120102a
Add-ons: Only TMP (or later with other add-ons, no difference in behavior)
Theme: FF Default 9.0.1, then Blue18 (no difference in behavior)
Settings: below
Mouse-wheel "click": My Logitech mouse's wheel can either have a detent
enabled (a "click"), or be smoothly rotating.
It makes no difference to this problem if I have the detent engaged or not,
as either way the *minimum* scrolling of the tab bar I can get by rotating
the mouse-wheel is in "jumps" of 9 tabs (given my screen resolution and FF
window width). This is with 50-60 tabs open, and I have 15 1/2 or so tabs
visible on the tab bar.
No middle clicking. I just put the mouse-pointer on any tab in the tab bar,
and rotate the mouse-wheel, which causes the tab bar to scroll right or left.
I used to be able to have the tab bar scroll in increments of one single tab,
but now it does so in "jumps" of 9 tabs.
The TMP scroll-buttons at either end of the tab bar seem to work OK (ie, each
left-click of the mouse on them scrolls by a single tab).
One other oddity: with the FF window width I have, I have a partial tab at
the RIGHT-hand-edge of the tab bar (about 1/2 a tab, more or less). It used
to be that left-clicking on that partial tab would cause it to become fully
visible, moving all the tabs toward the left, and bringing in another partially
visible tab from the right. The tab at the LEFT-hand-edge of the tab bar was
*always* fully visible, and justified against the left-hand edge (no partial
tabs on the LEFT).
This was really nice, as I could put the mouse-pointer on the RIGHT-hand-edge's
partial tab, and repetitively left-click there without moving the mouse-pointer,
and all the tabs to the right of the window would come into view one=by-one,
with each getting selected in-turn. This no longer works.
Now, when left-clicking on the partial tab at the RIGHT-hand-edge, it becomes
fully visible, but is justified against the right-hand-edge, while the tab at
the LEFT-hand-edge becomes a partial tab. No unseen tabs get "pulled-in" from
the right side.
I hope you can decipher all that ...
Anyway, I'd sure like to get the old behavior back for both the "scrolling in
jumps of 9" problem, and for the "clicking on a partial tab" problem.
