Tab Mix Plus

Yeah, it seems worse and worse though. I'm on beta and have to restart more frequently now than i've ever had. And my Fx is often slow as molasses. Will have to do some testing for my exts., only have 34 of them, most of which i use forever. Plus, Fx13 was working fine with the same exts. ... Fx15b is killing me! I often have to restart for a GM script change, CButton code change. Odd but comes as frosting on betas, i suppose.

Open Links in New Tabs seems to have broken in the last few nightlies. I tried with a new profile with only TMP installed.

Hi I just joined, and wanted to say thanks for the one extension I really hate not having.

Now the reason I say hate not having is because I am having that issue about opening links in new tabs. Basically if I have TMP enabled I cannot open my bookmarks or the addon page (though the gui, about:addons works still), I also can't open links in a new tab or new window when I right click and attempt to select those options. What I was wondering is what I can do to get it back working while waiting for a fix to come out. I did spend most of my work day yesterday trying to figure this out and nothing I tried would get it back to working.

First things first this did just start suddenly yesterday morning, I did not do any updates and had not even restarted firefox for about a day. All of a sudden I noticed that the bookmarks would not load and then went from there to end up determining that it was TMP. I should mention that I was running FF13 and TMP 0.4.3 when this happened. Now I have attempted the following; I started a new profile, I have installed FF 9.0.1, 10.0.2, 12.0,15.0b5, installed TMP 0.4.0.3 (even though that was the version I had), 0.4.0.4pre.120724a, and the latest build of 0.4.0.1. I tried all as updates and as stand alone installs having removed FF completely including all user data.

So end result after all of that? It still messes up the tabs. Any ideas of specific builds I can try together? I am fairly stumped on this one, any ideas out there?

I thought I'd put a note here about a problem I was having with the latest FF nightlies (circa 8/25).

When clicking a link it would always open in a new tab. This was annoying and an impediment to the way I work. Sometimes I want new tabs - more often I want the new page to open in the current tab.

No matter how I configured TMP the problem remained. Used the latest dev TMP; release TMP - no difference.

Finally thought the problem might be in Firefox itself. Backed up to the nightly build of 8/1 and the problem went away.

I checked the bookmarks option you mentioned but still nothing. If I have TMP enabled I cannot open any bookmark. I also cannot just click on a link and open in a new tab like I could before. And what I meant by the addons page is when you go to the firefox menu and right above options is the option for addons. I can still get there if I type in about:addons but just will not work from the gui.

What is really weird is that I have another extension installed called IE Tab and if I right click on a link and select the option to open it in a new IE tab it will, but opening trying to open it by right clicking and selecting new tab will do nothing, just like the bookmarks. Also right now I have 0.4.0.4pre.120724a installed on Firefox 14.0.1. What I really can't seem to figure out is why will it not work anymore even when I roll back the browser and the TMP version. I have completely removed them both and restarted with new profiles the whole bit, just no luck. Oh and I had the same version of firefox and TMP on my home machine and it is still working fine.

Are there some config or other files I am missing that maybe I could use to help get rid of this and attempt another clean install? Or any other ideas? Or do I just hope that a new version will fix it for me?


edit: forgot to mention that the session restore works fine and can easily get my stored sessions.

edit2: Just noticed that it will open the tabs if I tell it to open in a foreground tab.

Hi onemen!

There's a small inconsistency in the Lock Tab feature. When it's activated, left click on a link opens it in a new tab as expected, but with middle click it opens in the locked tab, which is contrary to the lock status and quite confusing. Please change this behaviour so that middle click always opens a link in a new tab.
