Ok, so, according to onemen's request I am slightly rephrasing the problem posted in another thread below:

Since TMP 0.3.5 RC2, whenever (while dragging either a link or a selected text, which happens to be a valid link) I point on a tabbar between the two tabs and pause for a second or two, the focus changes to the tab currently pointed. IMHO there are two problems with that:

1. That behavior is inconsistent, because the effect does not occur while pointing directly into the middle of the tab,

2. While that effect may prove useful sometimes, it really needs an option to turn it off... any chance for that? ... or maybe I am missing something important here?

I find this behaviour useful, though I would also like to see the tab focus changed if pointing to anywhere on the tab, not just the sides.

FF 2.0 / TMP 0.3.5 RC2 / WinXP SP2

I have "Prevent last tab from closing" disabled, and "Load on new tabs" set to "Home Page".
The fact is, when you close the last tab, a new one is opened, but remains blank.
It would be nice if tab opening options could be applied to that "new" tab !

Any reply on this ? Is it working for someone ?

I have this issue too. I would like my home page to be opened when I close the last tab.

Eek, why not? I like using SessionStore for crash recovering and regular restarting because it's reliable, but I use TMP for saving separate sessions, since SessionStore can't do that.

I agree - until RC1 I used TMP for my usual session managing but the FF feature for the restart (I have two windows with loads of tabs open during work). When I installed RC2 and choose the TMP session manager my whole previous session was gone. I don't use the save session when exit feature though (does it work with two windows for that restart stuff?).

It would be nice to get it back if only for the restarts needed for addon/ update installs.

TMP still behaves odd under some circumstances. If I visit a new page and want to open tabs with middle click I can only open one additional tab, the next one opens in the current page except if I change focus.
Example:
A,B are old tabs; C is the new tab; 1-3 are tab I want to open by using the middle mouse button on some links in C; bold is the tab focus

A B
A B C
A B C 1
A B 2 1 (new tab opens in current tab)

Now with changing focus:

A B
A B C
A B C 1
A B C 1 (it doesn't matter what tab I focus)
A B C 1
A B C 2 1
A B C 3 2 1 (I use change opening order)

Please, let me know, how could I change key bindings, e.g. Ctrl+F1. I do not need Save Session on this hot key, I need file download. Thanks.

Just installed RC2 on FF2.
Got the tab toolbar close icon and new tab icon and the tab was the wrong width - all of which were set differently in the previous TMP. Importing the old settings sorted that out however.

Bookmark menu doesn't show any bookmarks and the Bookmarks Toolbar doesn't show any contents, it is blank. However, the bookmarks.html file is present and intact and they do appear in the Organize Bookmarks dialog.

There are the following errors in the Error Console:
Error: getBrowser().isBlankTab is not a function
Source File: chrome://tabmixplus/content/tab/tab.js
Line: 868

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIPrefBranch.setBoolPref]" nsresult: "0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://tabmixplus/content/tab/tab.js :: TMP_getBoolPref :: line 929" data: no]

If I disable TMP RC2 the bookmarks reappear.

Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot of the great work.
Mark

I'm not sure how to describe this problem, but for example in RC1, if I type "firefox extension" into the address bar, it takes me to the extensions page. If I do this with RC2 installed, nothing happens.

i'll look into it , probably new bug slipped in :)

hello,

first of all thx a lot for this great extensions. used it a long time with FF 1.x.
three things that i noticed:

1.) Tab Bar is always at top. even if in settings Position is set to bottom.
2.) the "new tab" and "close tab" button remains still in tab bar.
3.) looks like the Super DragAndGo Extension isnt working with TMP

i'm using TMP 0.3.49.061028 with FF 2.0

known things?

If I right click a tab I can see my closed tab list with all 99 entires. If I go to tools->session manager->closed tab list I see only one entry. Sounds like a bug.

Commencing with Build 0.3.49.061028, I've noticed that when I use "undo closed tab", the restored tab is placed on the far left, with focus (when the "original position" option is NOT checked). In prior builds, it has always been restored on the right (which is where I want it ... my "left" tabs are kinda like PermaTabs, though I don't use that extension).

Is this behavior intentional or a bug? I been able to work around it by selecting the "original position" option ... which usually ends up placing the restored tab on the right.

This version still ignore the
(”browser.search.openintab“,true)
setting!

I still have to ALT+ENTER to search in new tab EVERY TIME when use search plug-in with TMP, even if "browser.search.openintab" is true.

look in tabmix options > events > tab opening > open tab from
and check "Search bar"

tabmix use : extensions.tabmix.opentabfor.search

On my build, it is tools->session manager->closed *window* list (which I happen to have disabled, but that is the option).

Just wanted to say that I really like TMP. Since FF 2.0 I missed it and now have installed RC2. I ran into a couple of things.
- when I hit CTRL-T I get a blank tab like I want, but with the address of the previous tab, which I don't want. You have to manually delete the address before you can input a new one

any error in error console ?
try tabmix on clean profile , maybe other extension caused this.

can you supply some examples so we can test this.
