I am afraid my situation has gone from bad to worse!

Here is the error console. I could find no way just to copy the text so I hope the graphic is ok.

I can now not access the TMP options. When I click on the button (either from Tools | Add-ons | TMP | Options or Tools | Options | TMP Options) nothing happens.

I removed TMP, then I removed Firefox and reinstalled it. I then installed TMP 0.3.7pre.080816. I tried seven times to install 0.3.7pre.080830. Each time, I got an error to report the package was an invalid file. Somehow it installed.

But even with the latest build I cannot change the options.

So I am sorry, but now I cannot provide the extra information on my settings!

1. just type about:config in the address bar
2. for tabmix settings.... open Tabmix option dialog click on the settings button (left side at the bottom).. and export the settings to a file on your pc.
then open the file and copy to here all of its content

After long usage of FF, closed FF process will stuck at the background taking up 50% of CPU and will not go away unless kill it manually.

Have been using since early 0.3.7pre, looks like only happen for the last few releases.

So far I've tracked it to TMP, after disabling TMP, it does not seems to happen anymore.

^ i've noticed that too, Fx3 takes longer to end the process. But i wasn't able to track it to TMP yet (or anything else, for that matter - lack of time).

I can confirm that FF takes 50% of CPU at shutdown for a few seconds (aprox. 2) without changing the memory usage but it doesn't get stucked. This happens with TMP as well as without TMP activated so it seems to be problem/feature/bug/weakness with FF itself.

IMHO this seems not that "big" showstopper towards TPM 0.3.7final.

btw. I want to thank all the guys currently working on TMP (especially but not limited to onemen) for their great work and the very helpfull forum 8)

P.S.: I hadn't any problems with TMP since 0.3.7pre.080721

No news are good news - in this context. I can basically confirm this for two machines here on Ubuntu 8.04.1 - guess there's something we don't repeat often enough here:

Good work guys, great stuff, and you keep it going! Image Image Image

FYI regarding FF3 and shutting down: The browser does much "work" upon shutting down. Though I am not sure of what exactly is being done when closing/exiting, such files as places.sqlite which is where our bookmarks and browsing history are now stored in FF3 have whatever actions needed to close a database file occurring upon shutting down the browser. For instance, if I am not mistaken, the default setting for the browser history is 90 days! If this is a significant increase from your previous setting--in FF2, it was 9 days--this may account for some of the differences being seen.

The time needed to close/exit the browser may also depend on how long and active the browsing session was. With that in mind, it may render invalid comparing a long and active browser session with TMP enabled to one where you have restarted and then closed the browser after disabling TMP.

Also, the time taken to quit the browser may depend on the specific settings of TMP. The more closed tabs you want saved and the session save and restore setting may influence how long it takes the browser to close.

I have had both FF3 and Minefield crash on me while exiting/closing. The crashes have been very infrequent. I have yet see TMP have an influence over these crashes, though I could be wrong.

I'm using the latest TMP Dev-Build 0.3.7pre.080830 and it breaks the tab close buttons' appearance on the iFox themes.

With TMP:

Clicking with middle mouse button on searchbar to open the search on a new tab doesn't work anymore in the last dev build.

Hi,

I tried to use the latest TMP Dev-Build 0.3.7pre.080830 but I got a heavy CPU usage preventing firefox 3.x to run, so I installed the older TMP Dev-Build 0.3.7pre.080728.

oAt first I thought it was some problem with the latest version, so I tried the 080728 and everything was fine, returned to the 080830 and the CPU at 100% so I came back to the 728 which is running fine.

Any thoughts about this?

Thanks

Hello! This is a great firefox extension, I am very grateful for it!
The icons that overlay a tabs favicon for locked&protected modes appaear stretched horizontally - it's not nice.
That is all, thanks for this extension.

Hi,
As I didn't read all the posts, this trouble had perhaps ever been reported: contrary to the version 0.3.6 running in FF V2, new URL started from a page is not open in a new tab (IE Google search).
Is it a bug or normal ?
Thank you.
BR.

the firefox search bar isn't working for some reason. it works without TMP, and it works in 3.0.2 w/ tmp fine.

Search works for me in Minefield (FF3.1pre) except that middle-clicking on the magnifying glass does not open the search in a new tab. Instead, it is in the current tab. This is minor, but it still is annoying.

This issue occurs on Fx 3.0.1/3.0.3pre/3.1b1pre, but works good on the Fx 2.
I've posted on this topics.

Middle-click on the close tab button on the tab bar no longer opens the last closed tab.
