All 3.1.* and 3.2.* builds are obsolete.
we are not going to maintain support for those builds.

If any of you wish to stay on old version use previous TMP version

Hi onemen...

Congrats on the new version. The new features sound pretty cool.

An old feature, though, seems to have broken. Multi-row tab bar displays as a single line w/o buttons. If I scroll the mouse over the bar, I get an extra row with buttons, but the second row is blank and the buttons scroll horizontally.

This worked fine in the previous build under FF 3.1b3 on Ubuntu.

Thanks for all your hard work!

try new profile without any other extensions.
Install only TMP

Thanks for the update/confirmation.

In fact, I have updated my archived copy by setting the minVersion to 3.5b4pre in the install.rdf file.

I don't think this is a new issue with this temp build, I have been seeing it for a while but haven't mentioned it before. Despite the file extension being listed in TMP Options | Links | Prevent blank tabs opening when downloading files when downloading some files blank tabs are still opened.

Example opening http://live.sysinternals.com/tools/sigcheck.exe will open a blank tab just before the save dialog pops up. I have checked exe files are listed by default in the edit part of the options.

This is running on 3.5b4pre and 3.6a1pre running on Windows.

I find that 090404 doesn't really work with 3.1b3, however I can't download back 090107. Can you give me a link for that please?

A reminder to all:

If any of you wish to stay on old version use previous TMP version

This means that at present, TMP dev version 0.3.7.4pre.090404 will only work properly on current Branch (Shiretoko 3.5b4pre) and Trunk (Minefield 3.6a1pre) nightlies unless and until a new patch landing "breaks" TMP. (That is one of the risks of using nightlies. :P )

Fx 3.1b3 and TMP dev version 0.3.7.4pre.090404 are not compatible with each other. If you are going to use Fx3.1b3 and want to use TMP, you will need to us the 090107 version available at the link in onemen's quoted post above. 8)

The other option is to replace Fx3.1b3 with Branch nightly (Info available here.) and use the 090404 dev version of TMP with it. Of course, this has the same caveat I mention two paragraphs above.

Considering that 3.1 Beta 3 is an official release and is the current official release for the 3.1/3.5 branch, it seems a bit strange not to support it until Beta 4 of Firefox is released (which should be 3.5 Beta 4).

On OS X 10.5.5 with the latest Shiretoko nightly (3.5b4pre), the new tab button was not removed. I installed the new Dev over an older Dev version so old settings were preserved (which may have been the cause). After messing around with the settings, I got it removed by enableing show new tab button and messing with left right side options and then disableing it again. A blank area is still present at the right end where the buttons should be, and the tabs will not expand to use that space.

Considering that 3.1 Beta 3 is an official release and is the current official release for the 3.1/3.5 branch, it seems a bit strange not to support it until Beta 4 of Firefox is released (which should be 3.5 Beta 4).

The ONLY production release is Firefox 3.0.8. Betas and nightlies are development versions. They are made available to the public to expand the testing to a wider swath of users and hardware/software. (All "official" means here is that Fx 3.1b3 is the "official" beta 3. Nothing more.)

That being said, no add-on author is "obligated" to keep their work compatible with production versions let alone the beta and nightly development versions. They are volunteering their time and effort. Some authors like Gary and onemen DO offer development versions of their add-ons.

However, as we just saw with getting this latest dev version of TMP, onemen was too busy during March to rewrite TMP to address the Session Restore changes that landed first in the Minefield/Trunk and later in Shiretoko/Branch. And, with regard to Fx 3.1b3, it was released BEFORE the Session Restore changes landed in Shiretoko. Therefore, it should not be strange nor surprising that when onemen revised the TMP dev version, it would no longer be functionally compatible with Fx 31.b3.

even more.... as long as 3.1 Beta 3 was the last beta you can consider it to be
"official". but as soon as new beta was out then 3.1 Beta 3 is obsolete.

since in the new beta (Shiretoko 3.5b4pre) there is changes from 3.1b3 we are no longer support 3.1b3.

TMP officially support Firefox 2.0.x, 3.0.x, 3.5b4pre and 3.6a1pre

Using the newest TMP and the newest 3.5p4 I can no longer drag tabs to the desktop as bookmarks.

Instead it tries to drag it as an image or something like that and cursor changes to the no symbol (circle with the slash).

I would strongly recommend not using 3.1 Beta 3 and either go back to 3.0.8 or use a nightly 3.5 load. The reason being that neither of these two critical exploits are fixed in 3.1b3. Either one of them allow a web site to run arbitrary code on a machine (i.e. pwn). Both have proof of concept code.

That is by design. See bug 475066.

New Tab Button is ON, and can not be disabled via options. No matter if checked or not, the New Tab Button is there.
Using 3.6a1pre and TMP 090404.
Cheers.

When setting pop ups to open in new tabs (and not resized), minefield/3.6a1pre with latest TMP crashes. On top, when trying to revert the setting, to allow resized pop ups back, it is not possible: the other settings are greyed up.

I am using 0.3.7.4pre.090404 of Tab Mix Plus.
However, the tab shuts by Close Tab in Minefield/3.6a1pre even if it sets it to protecttab, locktab, and freezetab.
Is this a bug of Firefox?
Or, is correspondence scheduled in future Tab Mix Plus?
