Hello!
Tab Utilities https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/addon/tab-utilities/ has some nice features that are missing in TMP.
1. Multiple tabs selection
An ability to select multiple tabs and perform the same actions with them as if it was a single tab

2. Tab stacking
Tab stacks like in Tab Utilities/Opera. There is no add-on for Firefox that has this feature and is compatible with Panorama groups besides TU that has many bugs, doesn't work correctly with FF13-14... and is dead

3. Tab colouring
Tabs that belong to the same stack have the same color. This feature is included in Internet Explorer and Tab Utilities dev pre18 version. There is no add-on with such functionality besides TU. Colorful tabs is not an option because it doesn't have stacking by parent tab, has very poor functionality and is incompatible with other tab bar add-ons.

So the only way to have tab stacking/colouring is to install TU that is abandoned. It would be nice if you added these features in TMP - they are very useful and are even included in other internet-browsers by default.

At TU there is a very nice feature: use the existing blank tab.
If the settings TMP is set to "open links in new tabs" and in the tab bar is a blank tab, then open them!
Please do so! Thanks.

There's no setting in TMP to reuse blank tabs 'cause i believe it's Fx default behavior and TMP doesn't do anything about it (i might be wrong here, we just had this discussion, let me find the thread).
But if you lock your tabs, your blank tabs will not be reused. Locked means all links open in new tabs/windows.
If you UNcheck it, links will re-use blank tabs:
Events/New Tab > Lock New Tabs

It is a pity, but Firefox does not do :(
There remained the hope that it is able to TMP. You just have to create a new tab to check whether there are empty and use them (current, next or/and all blank tabs). At TU there are such settings. It would be nice if TMP was such settings!
Here are my settings TMP:

Again, it should re-use blank tabs. If you lock your tabs, then they are not re-used.
I tried your settings and it works fine for me - blank tabs are re-used if i type a url in the address bar.
If this doesn't work for you, try a new profile. Please read the troubleshooting tips linked in my signature.

Yes, that's right!

No, I'm not locking my tab!

But if you open a link on the page or bookmark by clicking the middle mouse button, the existing blank tabs are not used! If you open links from external applications, blank tabs are also not used.

OK, I'll read and I hope to help.

That is by design, when left-click open in the current tab middle-click force the new page to an new tab.

It open in blank tab if it is the current tab.

are you planning to introduce such functionality?
It would be very cool! Then the TMP would be no competition!
Please :(

Only as an option, please. I open blank tabs on purpose and don't want them re-used.

Like close duplicate(similar) tabs

I really, really, REALLY want to add +1 to multiple tab selection. Firefox 15 has kicked me off tab utilities forever and the thing that I am missing most is the ability to select multiple tabs and send them to a new group.

well, that and having a dropdown arrow on the tab group button.
oh and the tab groups being displayed as:
name of tab name of group [number]
long name of tab name of group [number]
etc.

this is a really nice extension and I appreciate all the work you've done so far!
