Hi there

After my upgrading to TMP 0.3.6, I found that some duplicated options appear in the tabbar, and they're:

close right tab
close left tab
close all tab
duplicate tab

sorry, wrongly posted the issues above found from TMP here in News forum. I'd moved my post to Problems & Questions forum on this link.

wish vexingv won't be misled by me and move his posts to Problems & Questions forum too.

 Post subject: some issues
PostPosted: Mon Jun 11, 2007 11:56 pm
first off, i love this extension and have been using it since its beginnings.

i upgraded TMP tonight and i noticed i'm getting weird behavior on google search results. when i click on the links a new tab opens automatically even though i do not have any options in TMP to force new tabs. when i go back the to search results tab, clicking on any subsequent links will open the page in the previously opened new tab. my issue is similar to one described described in the problems sub-forum (can't link b/c i'm a guest poster)

my second issue involves the Sage extension. previously i would be able to left click on the RSS feed in my sidebar and the feed would load in the same tab. middle clicking would load the feed in a new unfocused tab. now, left-clicking loads the feed in a new unfocused tab. i believe this has to do w/ handling in the "open tabs from bookmarks" option. i can get the old behavior in Sage by leaving this option off, but i'd still like to load my bookmarks in a new tab by left-clicking. i know that there is the option of loading w/in the same tab via middle clicking, but my mouse wheel is imprecise so it isn't a great option for me. in the previous version of TMP, it seemed to ignore Sage and did not interpret RSS feeds as bookmarks. is there anyway to get the old behavior?

also the "prevent last tab from closing" option is greyed out. i noticed that i can't use mouse gestures or Crtl+W to close a window such as a popup. thus, the only way i can close a window w/ only 1 tab is to use the mouse and clicking the the close window button on the corner or Alt-F4.

i'm using FF 2.0.0.4 on Windows XP and Max OS X
and of course the new TMP 0.3.6

strangely, the google issue mentioned above is not present while using FF and TMP on Mac OS X.

thanks and great work!

sorry, the google issue w/ new "phantom"/unwanted new tabs i spoke about in the previous post was actually due to a setting w/i google itself, "Open search results in a new browser window", that i didn't realize i had set. it's strange how the behavior only started appearing now, but the issue has been resolved after deselecting this option.

mmm... I'm sure I don't have other ext handling tab except TMP, and before my upgrading to 0.3.6 from 0.3.5, those said options are not duplicated.

yeah, strange. I don't get any doubles here. Did you try restarting Fx?
See if anyone else posts the same issue. I don't see it so far.

sorry makondo, my mistake  ... there's really another ext called Multiple Tab Handler installed to offer CTRL+CLICK to highlight specific multiple tabs individually for closing them purposely.

Thx, and I also wish TMP have this func too.

I have the same question as Ocen, above in this thread.

On https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122 under Version 0.3.6, - June 11, 2007, it says:

"Look in http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6113 for complete list"

But when I go to that webpage, and review the recent posts, I don't see a changelog for Ver 0.3.6.

Please let me know where I'm going wrong. Nella

TMP option | Events | Tab Features

Yes indeed, but unfortunately the margin for the button is left. How to get rid off this ? I'd like tabs all to the right.

Hi. First of all: I love Tab mix plus, even if it doesn't work together with Colorful Tabs well - and I miss the colorful tabs. However.
I've upgraded to 0.3.6 and have to say that I'm not really amused.

My first issue is the same that vexingv has, the one about the Sage extensions. Exactly the same problem (Firefox 2.0.0.4 on XP SP2).

Second is that I don't want the tabs to keep the size when the frame is full and force me to use the arrows to switch through them. I want them to become smaller and when they are really small (the size that was used in 0.3.5) they should use the invisible parts of the frame.
Maybe it's just a problem of the new version with the constellation of my computer but it's really annoying. Additionally, when I open some new tabs it always lets a free space with a size of a tab between the newest tab and the arrows.
That's - like I said - really annoying and hopefully it can be fixed.
(I looked through all options in the tab mix plus menu about five times, but maybe nevertheless I haven't seen it.

Thanks for help!

there is a solution for the Sage issue. take a look in the "problems" subforum (i'd link it, but i'm posting as a guest).

here's what onemen said in that thread:
Quote:
i forgot to mention this:
in about:config add boolean pref
extensions.tabmix.opentabfor.sage and set it to false

if there is no extensions.tabmix.opentabfor.sage then TMP use
extensions.tabmix.opentabfor.bookmarks

Hello, i just wanted to note that on Ubuntu fully bloated, TMP's options open in a blank window for me. More, i hardly notice it's there, it opens really small, almost a dot, i have to expand to see... a blank window.

Is it my copy of Ubuntu, the amount of crap i loaded in it (choosing programs, testing), some bad config, ATI driver somehow (??), or plain simple TMP. I don't know that's for sure, but i miss TMP.

BTW, why can't you put an option, off by default to avoid conflicts, to use rocker gestures (left click, right click goes forward, right left - back). It's about the only thing i use with mouse gestures. Really simple to use and practical.
