onemen,

http://developer.mozilla.org/devnews/index.php/2007/12/11/ensuring-compatibility-of-add-ons-and-themes-for-firefox-3/

in addition to secure update, maxversion syntax is changing,

Quote:
Firefox 3 will use a three-part versioning system, as opposed to the four parts used in Firefox 2. In order to specify compatibility with security and stability releases, authors should use 3.0.* instead of 3.0.0.*.

(just in case)

With Fx 3.0b1 and dev-build 0.3.6.0.o71030 sometimes I can't close some tabs, others I can, using mouse or context menu.

There is an error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIWebProgress.removeProgressListener]" nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://tabmixplus/content/minit/tablib.js :: removeTab :: line 183" data: no]

With Minefield 3.0b2pre2007120705 I that didn't happen any longer.

So I just messaged on forums.mozillazine.org in Builds.

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=611945

It seems that the only theme that should be compatible with the new tabstrip code is the default theme ! Which is what I'm using.

So I then infer that the problem, when one goes to multi-rows when using Tabmix Plus, is that the problem is specifically with Tabmix Plus?

Hello onemen,

Don't want to tread on your turf, but I'm an experienced programmer and if you're willing, give me a few pointers (heh) to what needs to be modified and how. Been wanting to have a go at some real firefox (is it: XUL and jscript?) programming.

I don't however guarantee results ! What an offer.

Hi, there is a conflict with the new oldbar extension which restores the location bar like Firefox 2 has. The conflict is that session restore after quit and start does not work anymore.

I am very sorry, I spotted the problem in another extension (FoxyProxy) - hadn't remember enabling in the session before.

I have a question, every time i reload a page it jitters once. And if I go to a site like meebo.com it jitters non stop. I think this site is like continually reloading. Is there a fix to it? I disabled TMP and it worked fine again.

Update: If you have more than one row of tabs open the jitter no longer happens. I'm using FF3.0b2 and the latest TMP dev build set to multi-row in stead of teh scrollable shit. This is the main thing I cant live without. Thanks for your hard work!

Update Again: Sorry, I think I posted this to soon as i keep having to update. I've done some further reading and more troubleshooting and found that disabling "Tab width fits to tab title" under display->tab fixes this issue. I really like this feature however, and would like to see it fixed. Hope this helps, thanks for your continued hard work!

currently the fix is not to use multi-row.

I currently have a problem with Tab mix plus and Firefox 3 (beta 2) on the mac whereby when I close the active window then open a new browser window, my homepage is not displayed. Instead I get a tab called "untitled".

This didn't happen in Firefox beta 1. My current Tab mix plus setting is to have my homepage load in new tabs. When I create new tabs the home page loads ok. As I said, it's only when I create a new window that I get the untitled page loading.

I've also tried disabling Tab mix plus and then the homepage loads fine when I open a new window. The Tab mix plus version I'm using is 0.3.6.0.071030.

Ignore my previous post. Turns out I had "show my windows and tabs from last time" when Firefox starts, selected in the main Firefox prefs. As soon as I changed this to "show my home page" when Firefox starts, my problem was solved.

This is the problem with doing a clean install of the beta instead of upgrading form beta 1. Losing track of preferences. Sorry. Embarassed
