hey,
there's seems to be a small bug with the bug with "prevent blank tabs when downloading" feature.

in gmail, when clicking on an attachment, instead of simply downloading that attachment it will change the current tab to a blank tab and download it...

that issue is solved by unticking the above option in TMP settings

Sorry, can't edit.
simply removing the "disp=attd&view=att" from the list of tabs to remove fixes it, so i suggest it shouldn't appear there by default.

hmm, no comment?
not that i really care, i fixed it for myself...

If you are getting the invalid install package error, try downloading it from the links in onemen's posts/signature. You should be able to do so by using Save Link As... or Archive XPI if you have MR Tech Toolkit installed and running on your browser.

I am having a couple of problems when opening links from e-mails. All my links used to open in new tabs in the background. Now, the first time I click on a link in Thunderbird each session, Ff steals focus, bit not on subsequent links.

Today I received a notification from the requests forum. Every time I click on the link there, Ff steals focus and opens the link in a new window rather than a new tab in the current window.

Using 0.3.7pre.080728, Ff 3.0.1

Searching for "valid install package" I get some posts of CPU, where he recommends clear cache and try again ;-)

Using 0.3.7pre.080728
Ff 3.0.1
OS X 10.5.4

Other add-ons: Adblock Plus 0.7.5.5; Colorzilla 2.0

First, thanks for the great add-on. FF without TMP isn't nearly as satisfying.

In TMP preferences, under Events | Tab Features, there's a checkbox for "Cmd-Tab navigates tabs in most recently used order". The OS X default is for Cmd-tab to cycle through running applications, like Alt-Tab does for Windows, and that's a shortcut I don't want to change. What I *do* want is for Ctrl-Tab to cycle through tabs in most recently used order, and I thought TMP allowed me to set that in versions prior to 0.3.6.x . (Currently, Ctrl-Tab just cycles through in positional order, regardless of whether the Cmd-Tab box is checked in TMP.) Any chance of getting that feature back for Mac users?

Thanks!

Right click on a tab and the menu is not readable; it is truncated by all but two characters.

This was reported on the released version as well on two dev builds so far.

this is caused by the addition of the new tab icon, so in order to fix it right now, disable that menu item or

go to about:config in the address bar and search for extensions.tabmix.hideIcons and double click to toggle it to true

i will take a look at it later

this is a problem when using a jumbo/large theme like HiVis Large

it appears that its caused by having the icon on the new tab menu item. this might however be theme related since the only jumbo themes i see are by the same author

As you can read in my previous posts, I discovered some "optical" problems with TMP installed in Firefox 3 under KDE3 when using multi-row tabs. Thanks to the help of onemen and makondo, plus a lot of code examples on UserStyles.Org, I managed to eliminate those creating some CSS with the "stylish" extension.

So if somebody else is experiencing similar problems: I published the code at UserStyles.Org, so you can use it with the "stylish" extension or by copy'n'paste it to your profiles chrome/userChrome.css

I felt I owe you this feedback 8)

Great extension, cannot imagine Firefox without it - keep on the good work! :D

First of all, I set the about: config as follows:
extensions.tabmix.hideIcons;true
I disabled and uninstalled Tree Style Tabs, and restarted Firefox.
The problem is no more.
with regard to the add-ons I use, they are:
Adblock Plus
AI Roboform
All-in-one Sidebar
Colorful Tabs
Custom Download Manager
Customize Google
Download Statusbar
Foxmarks
Google Screen Saver
HashColouredTabs+
IE Tab
Multiple Tabs
Skype
Tab Mix Plus
US Dictionary

I Probably do not use all of them, but I loaded some before yours was ready and I did not unload.

Thank you for looking at this.

Disagreed - works fine here on Linux 8). Maybe you can quote a bit more of your configuration - e.g. what OS you are using (Linux, Mac, XP, Vista...)? It could also be another extension you are using is interfering - so you could e.g. check with a fresh profile (no other extensions installed but TMP) whether the problem persists.

It is a problem with the jumbo/large themes. Most of them are by the same author and hence have the same problem. It is just a mistake with the new tab menu item icon. you can choose to use that option which wont display any TMP icon or hide that menu item. I contacted the author yesterday and informed him of the problem and he said he will update his themes to fix them. I dont remember which one you used but one of them was infact updated yesterday. This way you wont have to decide which option to use.

Hi,

I have updated to Firefox 3.0.1, and as it said Tab Mix Plus would stop working, I also upgraded it to the latest build (0.3.7pre.080728).
This created an incompatibility that previoulsy did not exist with Tree Style Tab (0.7.2008062001).

When I open Firefox (it's configured to restore the previous session by default) I get a bunch of (Untitled) tabs, and none even try to load. If I disable Tree Style Tab and restart firefox, I get the session again. If I then enable Tree Style Tab and restart firefox, I still get the session, although now all the tabs are at the first level (Tree Style Tab enables you to "nest" some tabs under others). So, my guess is that the incompatibility has to do with the information Tree Style Tab saves regarding which tabs are nested inside which other tabs.

I hope I was clear enough in explaining the problem.

Running on XP SP2.

Thanks.

Congrats, Izzy!

Thanx! Nice to see you like it :P Some of the stuff I guess would even be a nice idea to have it directly in TMP - like adjusting the background color of the active tab and of unread tabs (right now you can only adjust the text color), or the enhancement for the progress bar - even if that would obsolete my style then

You are not completely wrong. Did you check all 4 styles I published? Where I used Bens code, I did mention it - as you said, that's only fair (I also develop software and put it under GPL, so I guess I'm familiar with that idea). You find it in the description on the page (even with links to the styles I "borrowed" from plus to Bens page), and in the code itself. And yes, the "header style" is also from Ben - but I normally use similar headers in my PHP files, Shell scripts, etc.pp.
