Tab Mix Plus is the #1 coolest add-on. Mozilla really owes you guys for making their product totally rock. Thanks again for the most kick-ass customizer we could ask for. All of your users love you for it :oops:

Using silmvermel also here. I just unchecked the option to have the close tab button, and this eliminated the second button. I still have a working close tab button on every tab. Strange, but as long as it works...

I'm currently having a problem when using the newest version of TMP with FF 3.0.1 (running on WinXP). The problem occurs when I close tabs using Ctrl+F4 (I find it easier then using the button or middle-clicking the tab). The problem only occurs with this keyboard shortcut.

If I started Firefox with only 1 window and keep it that way, I have no problems. However if I open a second window (or restore a previous session that had 2 windows), whenever I try to close a tab it closes 2 tabs. 3 windows still only closes 2 tabs.

If I had started FF with only 1 window, this problem will only affect the 2nd (3rd, 4th,etc) window(s). If I restore a previous session with 2 or more windows, the problem will now occur in all the windows.

Unfortunately this issue does seem to go away when TMP is disabled and I'd like to keep it enabled.

1. What does TMP use for color management? I had to bump the Rainbowpicker and it's working all right. But TMP's Customize Styles doesn't pick it up any more (since i moved on to Fx3.0.1 that is) - nothing shows where the color palette used to be. I'm gonna try a new profile with those two installed (one of this days...).
2. I think i saw this somewhere but can't find it right now. On the first page of this thread, there's a screenie that shows clearly what i'm talking about - the 2-3px bar just under the tabbar - anybody knows a code to get rid of it?
TIA!!

Dang! Thanks, i guess i have to uninstall it. How about #2 - that bar under the tabbar, any ideas?
Yes, that was it. Thanks onemen! I thought Fx3 was supposed to - finally - adapt a better color management ... guess that didn't happen. Have to try colorzilla - didn't like the first time though.

Thanks onemen!

I don't see such a bar with default theme and with classic compact either

Not sure which one you mean (to make it clear, you could hold your mouse pointer over the "quote" button and tell the number at the end of the URL). But maybe a part from my stylish TMP fixes may help you. If this 2-3px bar is not only there on multiple rows, you may try to omit the part in the brackets. It's at least worth a try, isn't it? And of course you can play with the number of pixels here as well 8)

Code:
/* Fix the last row of multibar tabs with TMP */
.tabbrowser-tabs[flowing=multibar][multibar] .tabs-frame {
  margin-bottom: 1px;
}

Thanks, Mc. I'm using the Glasser and a ton of styles... can you see a nice week ahead of me? (marked in yellow v)

Hi Izzy! i tried your code, didn't work. I think it's the autoscroll bar actually. I'll try a clean profile.
Thank you both!!

Makondo, what I forgot to ask: Does your actual profile originate from a previous (2.x) Firefox version? In that case, I really can recommend you to try with a clean profile. A few hints on how to get your data (passwords, bookmarks, etc.) there I wrote in a small article which you can find here. It is in German, but hopefully you get the points with some Babelfish or the like - I admit it's not perfect, but you'll get the point.

My first upgrade caused a mess with a lot of things in the graphical sector - not just a simple line, but all buttons had double borders/frames and things like that. After starting with a clean profile, most errors were gone...

Well, does anyone use TMP on latest-trunk Firefox 3.1a2pre?
It seems that TMP cannot run correctly, e.g. it cannot remember closed tabs...

And it shows these error in the Error Console:

Error: aTabContainer.mTabstrip._updateScrollButtonsDisabledState is not a function
Source file: chrome://browser/content/tabbrowser.xml
Line: 1422

Error: tipElement.ownerDocument is null
Source file: chrome://browser/content/browser.js
Line: 2190

Platform XP SP2
Firefox 2.0.0.16
TabMix 0.3.7PRE.080728

I've set extensions.tabmix.reversedScroll to true but it doesn't work somehow.

Sorry if this has already been reported.

Any workaround please?
Thanks.

On a side note, I've found the reason of numerous errors tmp was generating in my otherwise fine ff3.
The extension "smart click" hijacks somehow some calls tmp uses, and causes it to fail on some things.
For example ctrl+F4 closes 2 windows, typing in the address bar causes many errors to be generated, etc.

Izzy, yes, i'm using a new profile (my first update for Fx was from Phoenix to Firefox beta, so i'm pretty familiar with the process). That bar exist in the default theme as well - surprised Mc doesn't see it though. I now think it might be part of that active tab bottom bar, i know i can hide it, just need to search a bit more. I was hoping onemen will give me the code ;-) but since he didn't, i might be wrong. The thin line has always existed in Fx and i was never able to hide it but with the theme re-write for Fx2, it just got fatter.
Thanks for trying though!

@makondo: You are welcome! BTW: No chance to figure out where it belongs to, not even with DOMi? That's strange. I don't see that line here, so I cannot try and look...

I don't see the thin line as well. But once I was bothered by it as well and I guess I got rid of it by applying the following statement into into userChrome.css:
Code:
.tabs-container
{
  margin: -2px 0px -6px 0px;
}

Ciao
Toscha
