Hello,

Opening bookmarked links does not work when opening links from chipmark extension toolbar (https://www.chipmark.com/Main), but works for bookmarks. This appeared with Firefox 3.0.

best regards, Animus

First off, thank you for such a great extension!

Now, this is a longshot but is there any way to get this extension working with Organize Search Engines? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4565

After you add multiple search engines into a folder and then click open all in tabs, only 1 tab opens.

Thanks for listening! :)

Any chance of checking this out?

This does not work with or without Tabmix Plus.
ask Organize Search Engines developer to fix it

I am not 100% sure if I just have a "wrong settings" issue but all settings I can see in TMP preferences are set to "open in new tab" for all links (apart from Javascript Popups). Now the link on this page with target=_blank opens a new window for me. I already posted it in another thread and read afterwards (yes, Í know...) that issues with betas should be mentioned in this forum.

(BTW: The forum links behave the same way for me as they also have target=_blank set)

edit: Strange: When I set the option "Java-Script-Pop-Ups" to "only allow popups with defined size" instead of "allow all popups" the _blank-links are opened in new tabs. But I thought this option only affects Pop-Ups which are caused by Java-Scripts, not by a target-definition.

Probabley since the strentching is small but if you compare it with 3.6.0 on firefox 2 then you might see what i mean.
or maybe i just dont remeber how they looked or something but im pretty sure they are a tiny bit stretched in firefox 3 making them look a bit blurry

With today's nightly build of Minefield (Firefox3.1a2pre: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre) Gecko/20080820035100 Minefield/3.1a2pre ID:20080820035100) TMP appears to be affected by the landing of Bug 449596 – remove the browser.sessionstore.enabled pref.

According to the bug description:

Quote:
That pref was thought to be for extensions which wanted to completely replace our own Session Restore functionality. While this has worked somehow for Tab Mix Plus, we've had several issues with people ending up [with] both Session Restore and Tab Mix Plus disabled (see Bug 435055 and its duplicates). Furthermore, there are several code points which will also break when Session Restore has been disabled (such as the list of recently closed tabs).

Instead of adding try-catch-blocks wherever we use Session Restore, I'd much rather encourage extensions authors to override both nsSessionStartup and nsSessionStore to provide the same API with their own functionality (or implementing a dummy-API and making sure for themselves that they've correctly replaced all known consumers). This would also make the lives of those other extension authors simpler who so far can't be too sure that the Session Store component actually works (through whatever implementation).

Hope this helps. If I find other issues, I'll try to let you know.

EDITED TO ADD: There were a number of patch landings with today's nightly of Minefield. Here is at least a partial listing from the nightly build thread.

Also, before disabling TMP, I clicked on a link in a message in my gmail with the expectation that it would opne in a new tab. It opened in a new window instead. Since disabling TMP, such links open in a new tab, as expected.

Also, to add to Ray's comments, if you have the tabs configured to be on the 'bottom' they are not there, but have gone back to the top...

Just had a browser crash again a couple of minutes ago. Starting FF again, the crashed session was not only not restored, it was also not listed in the sessions available to restore. When that happened a couple of days ago, I thought it may be a one-time effect - but it seems to be this way repeatedly. Anybody else experiencing this?

FF 3.01
TMP 0.3.7pre080728
OS Linux

And yes, in the settings I told it to restore after a crash, TMP session manager is activated, and it is also advised to store the session on browser close and to ask for a restore on startup. From about:config:

Code:
extensions.tabmix.sessions.crashRecovery TRUE
extensions.tabmix.sessions.crashed TRUE
browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash FALSE

Don't know if the last one explains the problem - but I guess it points to FF session manager, and thus should not be relevant here? However: I could not even manage to switch it to TRUE...

Edit: In onemens latest post I just saw I forgot to update TMP on this machine for some time. So before you ask me: Yes, I just install the latest Dev-Build right now and wait for the next crash  But until then, I'm still curious for your answers. If they are "yes, but that has been fixed in pre0808*" - I will shut up with this until the next crash

I missed by TabBrowser Preferences in FF3 and almost went back to v.2. You saved me from doing that. Look forward to the full release.

WildcatRay & Littlemutt,

since Fx 3.1 is nowhere near to be released, could you, please, start another thread, maybe something like 'Firefox 3.1 - alpha'? It just confusing and unnecessarily complicating since most people here are talking about problems with an official Fx release 3.0.1. Would that make more sense?
TIA!

Izzy,
what's with crashes? Maybe that's what you should be looking into?

That last line is TRUE in my about:config. Is it in bold?
