Tab Mix Plus Dev-Build 0.3.7.4pre.090726 Released (Older builds)

! There's a conflict with Undo Close Tab extension - TMP has its own UCT button. Options/Events/Tab features - check Undo Close Tabs. Then Rclick on a toolbar > Customize > drag it out of the Customize window on a toolbar, tabbar is not supported at this point.
You can customize it under Tab features. If you check 'Make ... button display list', it will drop the list on Lclick instead of re-opening the last closed tab. Mclick will re-open all closed tabs.

  • Fixed: With built-in session restore, closed windows list is always empty.
  • Fixed: Open tab next not working properly when TreeStyleTab extension installed.
  • Fixed: TMP not working with 3.6a1pre since 2009-07-10.

0.3.7.4pre.090516
  • Fixed: unticking Display > Tab bar > Show New Tab Button does not hide the button if After Last Tab is selected.
  • Fixed: Switch to last selected tab when clicking current one, not working in 090404 version.
  • Fixed: Add support to Organize Search Engines 1.4 "Open In Tabs" feature.
  • Fixed: update Clear Private Date dialog for Firefox 3.5+.
  • Fixed: Incompatibility with TreeStyleTab.

0.3.7.4pre090404
  • Fixed: compatible with Firefox 3.5 and 3.6 builds.
  • Fixed: Middle-click bookmark(s) need to revers loadInBackground setting.
  • Fixed: Enable use of middle-mouse clicking on tab/tabbar even if middlemouse.contentLoadURL is set to true.
  • Added: [Firefox 3.5+] New option to place new tab button after last tab. (Tabmix Options > Display > Tab Bar)
    preference: extensions.tabmix.newTabButton.position, type: integer
    0 - Left side
1 - Right side (default for version before Firefox 3.5)
2 - After last tab (default)

0.3.7.4pre090107
  • Fixed: Tabmix not working in Firefox 2.0 with the last dev-build 081203
  • Fixed: Conflict with ContextMenu Extensions.
  • Fixed: With Fast Dial 2.1.5 Extension tabbar is messed.
  • Fixed: In Private Browsing sites that open an (allowed) pop-up window using javascript(parameter) open an about:blank window [Firefox 3.1+].
  • Fixed: Drag indicatore is at wrong vertical position in Mac.
  • Fixed: In Tabmix session manager, if we left popup window open we can lose some of the previosly closed window on the next startup.
  • Fixed: Tree Style Tab extension break TMP click on tabbar functions.
  • Added: New Style to all tabs other then current and not read tabs, new style for background color.

0.3.7.4pre.081203
  • Fixed: Compatible with Firefox 3.1b3pre and 3.2a1pre.
  • Fixed: Lock Tab attribute doesn't save after restart or duplicate tab if Tabmix session manager is in use.
  • Fixed: Tabs are not in the same order in last and previus sessions that exported to Session manager extensions.
  • Fixed: When "prevent blank tabs" is on, referer is not sent for links that match any pattern associated with this setting.

Edited by makondo to include UCT incompatibily warning.

indeed, thanks for the update.

1 thing i'm noticing is that the close button is on the right side of the tab even when options are set for it to be on the left.

One problem I just found, the pop-up featured in 3.0 when Ctrl+Tabbing still doesn't work with this new version of TMP in 3.1b2pre.

under Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081203 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre,
Ctrl+Tab's list popup menu is works good w/o errors.

Using the shiretoko branch build when I drag a tab into the content area to detach it the new window is completely blank, not even a tab bar with about:blank. This is on a new profile just with TMP 0.3.7.4pre installed.

The build of shiretoko is:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081203 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre

Anyone else confirm?

Yes, new window is blank, and the 'lost tab' is not added to:
History->recently closed tabs list

The following errors in Console2:
Error: redeclaration of const LOAD_IN_SIDEBAR_ANNO
Source file: chrome://browser/content/places/utils.js
Line: 58

two of these:

Error: this.editor is null
Source file: chrome://global/content/bindings/textbox.xml
Line: 154

For those commenting on TMP affecting or not affecting ctrl+tabbing behaviour:

*for me* the pop-up display containing thumbnails of all open tabs *ONLY* appears when running today's Minefield nightly -
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20081203 Minefield/3.2a1pre

*NOT* when running today's "Shiretoko" nightly -
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081203 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre

*NOR* when running the latest *release* version of Firefox 3.0.4 -
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4

For the latter 2, focus simply jumps between tabs, with *no* pop-up display and *no* pop-up menu.

Am I supposed to be seeing in them a similar pop-up to that which appears in Minefield ?

Tested in each case with a new, empty profile.

I'm not talking about the list popup, I mean Firefox's default popup:

Does that clear it up?

For those who have not been following the nightly branch/trunk threads in the mozillazine forums, the new ctrl-tab feature (and list of tabs button) tab preview / search thingy was removed from the 3.1 branch builds, you have to get 3.2 trunk build to test it.

When TMP is enabled, clicking this build of TMP produced this order around the tab:

when it is disabled, it looks like this:

Granted, both are annoying. The second pic is the current default behavior, and I know there is a bugzilla bug to fix this.

But is there a way to make the border not get worse when TMP is enabled?

I'm using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20081202 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre

^ sorry, to clarify, the border is displayed when you single-click on the tab.

thnx, for me, it is working fine so far! very much appreciated.

i'd say, the "fine tuning" can be done once firefox 3.1 final arrives.
