The 0.3.7.4pre builds (I've tried both) make the Winstripe Modern theme tabs extremely tall. This was never a problem with any of the prior versions (reverted to 0.3.7.3 and it's working fine).

using tmp latest dev-build with "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3pre) Gecko/20090304 Shiretoko/3.1b3pre" - the new tab button which was added in 3.1 used to be positioned at the right end of tab bar. firefox 3.1b3pre moved the button right next to the last tab, (a-la IE7). however, if I install tab mix plus, the new tab button is back (ANNOYING!!! ANNOYING ENOUGH to uninstall TMP!!!) at the end of the tab bar.

Patience, please. You are expecting perfection from what are not production releases of both the browser and the extension. It is quite unreasonable to expect Gary and onemen to keep up with the ever changing whims of browser developers such as changing the placement of the new tab button.

If you want perfection, I recommend you only use Firefox 3 with the production release of TMP and that way you will not be annoyed. However, if you still want to keep using preproduction versions of Firefox such as Shiretoko, please refrain from unproductive and unhelpful comments such as this. REMEMBER just how much you are paying for the use of Firefox, Shiretoko, and TMP.

Now, if you really want to help, you can alert Gary and onemen that you have discovered a broken functionality in TMP AND provide them the regression range--that is which nightly release was the last one where the TMP function worked correctly and the first nightly release where it was broken. For the tab button, ID which nightly was the last where the button was on the far right and the first nightly where it was next to the tab like in IE. By providing them this type of information, you quickly aid them to find the culprit patch(es) that were landed into the browser and figure out how to handle it in TMP.

Since the latest build of Minefield, opening anything from the bookmarks toolbar opens in the current tab, despite my setting in TMP to open in a new tab. The url bar and search box are fine however, they open as I want in new tabs.

Any ideas?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090308 Minefield/3.2a1pre

Works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2a1pre) Gecko/20090308 Minefield/3.2a1pre

If you open about:config and filter on extensions.tabmix.opentabfor.bookmarks is the value TRUE? Does toggling the value change the behaviour.

You could try a new profile with just TMP installed.

The settings are fineHarlequin99, all true.

I recently tried the extension Moz Labs put out (abouttab-latest) which displays (allegedly) the new tab behaviour that'll become default in 3.5 - maybe if I clear the left over pref's it'll revert to normal or, maybe it's something in the code that screws my set up.

It is certainly possible the about:tab extension screwed something up. It isn't compatible with TMP, for I too tried installing it but it never worked with TMP, all the functions were missing from a new tab. However bookmarks still opened in a new tab.

When I installed about:tab I disabled TMP initially, but I couldn't perceive any real change, apart from the obvious loss of TMP functions. It stated something about never opening a blank tab, that never worked for me - dunno about you?

When I get time I'll create a new profile to try it out.

That theme hasn't been updated in a while and always played nice with TMP, TMP build 090107 broke it, can you look into it?

With Tab Mix Plus 0.3.7.4pre.090107 installed, dragging a tab to the desktop in Firefox 3.1b3 for Windows XP SP3 does nothing instead of detaching it and opening a new window.

See bug 475066 comment 24.

Basically if TMP is not installed, dragging a tab and dropping it outside the browser window will open that tab in a new window. With TMP installed, it does nothing.

Any update to support FF v3.2x ?

This version (0.3.7.4pre.090107) doesn't work very well.

Today's Trunk (Minefield) nightly (20090314) breaks the current dev version (0.3.7.4pre 090107) of TMP. Tabs will not restore on (re)start. (The tabs just sit at "Loading...".) Disabling TMP remedies the situation. The tabs restore as expected.

I suspect Bug #480148 - [Firefox: Session Restore] Restore visible tabs first when restoring session may be to blame. I did comment in the bug asking if it may have broken TMP, but have not yet heard back.

Another bug that may be affecting TMP is Bug #476928 - Slow closing of tabs with the given testcase when entering Private Browsing mode . (Hat trip to Dao G. for this.)

Another user found that by using TMP's own session (save/restore) manager provides a workaround for the issue.

The dev build introduces a regression for me, Alt+Enter in the Search Bar is once again broken in 3.0 like back in 2005

Same issue here. Also the Private Browsing feature is broken.
