New version working perfectly for me so far.

Gary and others, is it true that if we are using the new build, that Firefox's automated notification will not tell us when the "real" new TMP is available? That would mean we would have to check in on your site to see when the new TMP is officially released.

I am more than willing to do this for the best extension in Firefox! But if it is true, do you have at least a tentative timetable for when the new version is officially released?

Where did you hear this? As with any ext., if you have Fx set to check for updates and notify you before installing, it should find the official release on AMO and tell you it's available. It will not notify you about updates to the dev. version. For that you'll have to check the designated thread in my signature. But if you have no problems using it now, you don't need an update. Sit back and wait for Fx to tell you it found a new official version.

I heard it on the Mozillazine forum for Firefox support. Glad to see that's baseless. Thanks for getting back to me.

Thanks, please link this thread to the one you read on MoZine, if possible.
And you're welcome! :-)

Are you sure, makondo? I have the latest development version of TMP installed, tab_mix_plus-0.3.7.4pre.090516.xpi. When I click the Find Updates button in the Extensions Manager, all my other extensions are marked "No updates were found.", but Tab Mix Plus is labeled "An error occurred while trying to find updates for Tab Mix Plus." Do you get something different?

That said, it's been a long time since I relied on AMO to get timely updates to TMP. This forum is the only place I find worth checking. BTW, I have not encountered any problems with 0.3.7.4pre.090516 since I updated to it at the beginning of July.

I can't be sure about anything with TMP anymore, Alan ;-) None of the developers wants to talk to us :)
I get the same update response from Fx now but i think! it will work all right when an official version will be available on AMO. I believe it's 'cause the dev.version is not installed from AMO but this site. and AMO is easily confused, as i'm sure you know.
If i'm wrong, i hope onemen and/or CPU will correct me (please!) but that's how it worked the last update.

We'll see, I guess. I'm glad TMP works so well. :D

BTW, nice try over in the Mozillazine topic. You provided good information, but I think you made the right decision to abandon the topic rather than continue trying to communicate with someone who just wanted to complain.

I'm not really sure what happened last year with the release of FF 3.

When a version is released on AMO, you will know about it. Whether its by some notification or some other way.

I see no reason why even make a thread about this.
