Tab Mix Plus

v 0.3.85 pre 110131a as automatically dld yesterday(?)

If I lock and protect a tab, then open a link within that page, a new tab is opened for the link, but the lo cked and protected tab alos goes to the new link

eg
http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/observations/perth.shtml
Lock and Protect
then ask to go to "Perth Forecast"
(http://www.bom.gov.au/wa/forecasts/perth.shtml)

A new tab is opened but the original locked and protected tab also re-sites.

This was not happening a few back.

EDIT: hmmm. I just d;ld and reinstalled TMP 0.3.8.4 and it's still hapenning.

Now I am puzzled

Ctrl+click - open new tab + current tab changed

Shift + Middle-click ,
Middle-click - open new tab without changing the current tab

Thanks for the reply. I am not sure I understand. I specifically want to use tabmix, because it allows me to lock and protect the tab. It allows me not to have to remember and use two-to-three key combinations. Until recently the locked tab was working fine, and it was very useful.

I think this did happen some time ago, but I can't remember what precipitated it.

I did run Spybot Search and Destroy just before this happens and it warns a somewhat confusing message about should I close browsers as virus ware may alter my settings. ????

BTW I should point out that this does NOT happen if I open a new tab with say, the Bookmarks etc, wile in a L'n'P tab. AFAICS it only occurs from a link within a locked tab page.

Ooookayy! So if I use a link in the main part of the page, such as Map of perth Area Stations
(http://www.bom.gov.au/weather/wa/perth- ... -map.shtml)

it works fine, just as tghe "sidebar" one used to as well.

this is how the site build, nothing i can do about it.

so you have to remember to use Shift + Middle-click on the side bar

But it did not do this before. I use those two examples pften and it worked until recently.

if it work the same with or without Tabmix so either the site or firefox changed

Well to me it is a nuisance that was not there before.

How can you say that it's the same without tabmix? Without, each tab opens a link in the same tab unless I right click and ask to open in a new tab......which does NOT cause the original tab to also load the new link. The whole idea of TMP is to force opening in a new tab by choice default.

I will try updates of TMP from time to time, but for now I will leave it out.
