I don't know about Nokia thing but .NET is not an ext., it's something Microsoft installed silently. Read more in the troubleshooting tips linked in my signature, there's a link for more reading about this one if you're interested.

build 0.3.8.6pre.110402b broke the tab size on my os x machine. Firefox 4, I prefer tiny tabs than having them scroll off screen or worse make another line of tabs. Anyway, after I restarted, that's what happened, my tabs went to a second line. I tried to reduce the minimum tab size, but nothing helped, huge tabs is all I got. I downgraded away from the pre versions and everything is fine again.

Win 7 / Minefield latest

Possible bug:

I have an intermittent problem. Regularly when I hit CTRL+TAB to switch tabs, the first time nothing happens. I need to CTRL+TAB a second time to make it work.

I disabled TMP in my regular profile and the problem disappeared. I then installed TMP in a clean profile but could not duplicate the problem. So that is confusing.

Any suggestions, please?

maybe one of your other extensions interfere with this function
go to Tabmix Troubleshooting page, enable error console and check if you get any messages when you use CTRL+TAB.

also try to disable your extensions in the current profile until the problem disappear.

Here's what I get:

Code:
Error: this._specRx is not a function
Source File: chrome://noscript/content/AddressMatcher.js
Line: 20

Warning: reference to undefined property this.tabMap[panelName]
Source File: chrome://firebug/content/bindings.xml
Line: 89

I disabled NoScript and Firebug but the problem remains.

The thought of trying to disable ~30 addons to track down an intermittent problem is not nice! Any more suggestions would be welcome! :)

Ah, thanks for the reminder. I followed this issue on a german computer news site but forgot about it.

It looks like this is the solution, so far only twice I had some tabs not properly restored (different sessions) but I haven't been able to reproduce it like I could before. :)

I'll keep my eyes open and if the problem occurs again in a reproducible fashion I'll post again.

Thanks a lot!

i think that when you open so many tabs on start-up session manager starts to save backup before all the tabs are open.
i will try to see if i can safely delay the start of the backup process

DavidCOG,

disable 15 extensions - if the problem persist, disable the other half..
this way you can find the problematic extensions in 5 steps.

Thanks onemen, I was going to use that method - it's just the intermittency of the problem could mean I think the problem has gone when it hasn't. I'll have a go at it shortly and let you know.

Thanks for your time - and your brilliant addon. :)

OK. I've made some progress. I disabled all of my addons and the problem remained.

I then reset my TMP settings and the problem was fixed. Given that I customise almost every dialog, I have no idea how to track down which setting might cause this.

Any more suggestions?

EDIT: I've just reapplied all my customisations to TMP and the problem has returned. Here is my settings file: http://uploading.com/files/5am45ea3/TMPpref.txt/

i think i can reproduce the bug, look like it happen after closing the current tab or the most recent used tab, can you (or other) confirm.
Ctrl-Tab navigates tabs in the most recent used order - on
Show tab previews - off

I don't open/ restore the session on startup (usually, unless I accidentially restart FF after add-on install). Usually I start FF, wait until it started completely (I have about:blank set as Home Page in FF). Then I go to Tools - Session Manager and click on the desired session. Default action for the click usually is "Restore session to new window". When I want to restore another session I close FF and start "fresh" again.

That may be true but it happens for me if I CTRL+left click to open pages in new tabs. When I then CTRL+TAB to view those pages, the problem occurs.

I've discovered that with 'Show tab previews' checked the problem does not occur.

HTH.

I've come across some odd behavior when the "Prevent blank tabs when downloading files" option is used with App/pinned tabs in Firefox 4.

On a pinned tab, if the option is enabled and I click a link to a file that has one of the extensions listed, a new blank tab is opened and then the download begins. If I disable the option and click the same link, no new tab is opened. Similarly, removing the file's extension from the list while the option is enabled and trying the download again does not open a new tab. In a nutshell, the option works correctly on regular (non-pinned) tabs, but seems to have the opposite behavior on pinned tabs.

This happens for me in both the stable build and in 0.3.8.6pre.110402b on Windows 7 with all other extensions disabled.

post your Tabmix settings ,and example to link for download
try Tabmix on clean profile and report if you get similar results

My settings can be downloaded from here: http://uploading.com/files/428fe869/TMPpref.txt/

I tried a clean profile and I get the same behavior with the default settings. After a little more experimentation, it seems that it may be absolute URLs on a pinned page that cause the problem, whereas relative ones do not. For example, on the AutoHotkey download page, the first link ("Installer for AutoHotkey_L") is absolute and causes the problem. The second link ("Installer for AutoHotkey Basic"), which happens to be relative, does not. But when you try and download the second file via an absolute link, the problem does occur.
