Tab Mix Plus

Hello,

I was having a similar problem and, after a great deal of trouble, found something that worked for me.

I discovered that a Windows automatic update had installed "Windows Live Essentials" which was causing issues due to something related to MSN Messenger. I uninstalled Windows Live Essentials from the Control Panel---> Programs and Features in Windows 7 and have not had any issues with forgotten tabs since.

I'm using the newest dev build 0.3.8.6pre110311a if that helps, and the issues I was having started back in FF4 beta builds.

Not sure what exactly was causing the problem for me, or if this will work for others, but I figured it was worth mentioning just in case.

so has there been anything more on this? I'm having almost the same problem. Sessions aren't saving; I get the right number of tabs but no websites for them. I've double-checked TMP settings, Remember History is set, I did the whole uninstall/reinstall my extensions, I followed directions for the error console and about:config. I don't have the .NET add on that gave ppl problems. And I still have no reason for the empty sessions. The alternate profile was chugging along fine, I switched back to the old one to see if dumping my Personas themes would help (didn't), switched back to troubleshoot and the new profile crapped out. And this was after several restarts with the reinstalled extensions. The only thing that's working is to set each browsing session as my Home Page before I close FF.

I ran into the problem that TMP wouldn't restore tabs.

After disabling:

• SortPlaces 1.8.2 http://www.andyhalford.com/sortplaces/index.html
• SyncPlaces 4.2.0 http://www.andyhalford.com/syncplaces/index.html
• ViewMarks 0.9.6

Tabs do restore properly.

I do belief the Problem is caused by running SyncPlaces and TMP together - the former synchronizing bookmarks to a different server on closing Firefox.

I am however not sure how I could track this problem down and it seems to be a race condition as the restoration did work sometimes.

try to use Firefox 4.0 build-in sync
