"Change opening order" is broken (a sub option of "Open other tabs next to current one").

Open a tab ([main tab]) and click some links to spawn child tabs. The opening order seems to work ok (oldest->newest). Now close a random tab on your tab bar (don't switch to it, just close a tab somewhere). Now if you open a [new] link from [main tab] it will append it right at the start: [main tab][new][old->new] instead of the expected [main][old->new][new].

TMP ver: 0.3.8.7pre.110917a. Firefox 8 (beta). WinXP SP3 x86. Clean profile (TMP is the only installed extension) using default settings, bar:

Would you provide more details on what browser and TMP versions you are using, plus what, if any, troubleshoot steps you have taken, please? Without this information, it is pretty hard to help you and figure out what is happening. Thanks.

That is not a bug, that how Firefox design to work.when use select, move or delete a tab Firefox will open the next tab after the current one

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit My Firefox last actualization 13.05.08

0.3.8.7pre.111011a was automatically updated this morning (in FF8b2, running on Win7 x64). I use a Microsoft Optical Intellimouse, with the scroll wheel set (via MS Intellipoint 8.2 software) to "middle click" in FF when pushed. I noticed today (after the installation of 0.3.8.7pre.111011a), that after using FF for 15 minutes or so, the middle click ceases to work on SOME functions ... such as selecting a weblink to open in a new tab, or selecting a bookmark to open in a new tab (in both cases, I can right mouse and select "open in new tab"). Note also that even when the middle click dies for SOME functions, it continues to work in others (such as closing a tab). Restarting FF always restores full functionality ... for a while.

To verify that 0.3.8.7pre.111011a is causing this, I reinstalled TMP 0.3.8.6, and confirmed that the center-click function was no longer randomly disabled (of course, I can't drag tabs, etc. with 0.3.8.6).

I'm still trying to reproduce a series of steps that will induce the middle click to fail.

Me too with a Microsoft Sidewinder X8, I do NOT have the microsoft intelli [mouse] installed and never have since my old XP days.

I can confirm the issue with the trying to open a link in a new tab by pressing the mouse wheel. I was able to catch this error:

I cannot, however, say if it is related to the problem or not.

EDIT: I am also getting the above error when I try to merge windows.

I also have the same issue after updating to 111011a as I described here

Went back to 110917a and everything seems fine till now. So, I guess it's a bug.

I have an optical usb mouse (media-tech).

Can anyone tell me what's the status on bug 455694 (tab animation)? I'm still on its mail list but the only updates are an increase in "depends on" bugs.

So long story short, is it still messing with addons or have its issues been ironed out for the most part?
I reverted to the release channel 3 months ago specifically because of it but now we're at FF7 and the bug's target milestone is FF8.

STR:
Open a page where you have a number of links available to open using mouse wheel to open in new tab.
Need to do this until the mouse wheel press does not open link in new tab.

It seemed that it took between 5-20 opening of links in new tabs by use of mouse wheel in new profile with all my other addons installed before seeing problem. I will try to see if I can isolate another addon conflict.

i'm trying to figure a bug i'm having since Fx7 (for another ext. ... or so i think). When you say 'does not open link in new tab', do you mean nothing happens? does it open link in the same tab?

In my case sometimes when pressing middle button on a link or bookmark, nothing happens, or opens the link in new window, or opens a blank tab. Sometimes it worked fine.

Nothing happens. Only the error I cited above pops up in the error console.

I have not yet been able to get it to occur in the new profile with my other addons when trying to ID which one may possibly being conflicting with TNP.
