Morac,

My changes to panorama code are minor.

it was probably just a typo, for some reason i remove the callback for Firefox 6+
Code:
trace: tabview assert: callback arg must be a function

i will check it again tomorrow

I've restarted my FF 2-4 times now and am having problems with this forum. Ctrl-clicking on "latest post" from the main forum page, there's no response from the action. I decided to try it on the "more" button on Google, and it opens the menu instead of a new tab. Tested random sites and ctrl-click failed in all of them as well.

Also, ctrl+t is now opening new blank tabs in the background at end of tab list, instead of foreground next to current tab as I set it.

I updated my TMP +14hrs ago when the problems reported by makondo and others regarding ctrl/middle-click started reproducing on my system. I had no problems then, but now they're recurring even after FF restart.

I put my laptop to sleep a couple times while at school, so I'll try rebooting Windows and report on changes...

EDIT: Here's some data from the error console that may be relevant

Code:
1) A couple of these popped up
Warning: Use of getAttributeNode() is deprecated. Use getAttribute() instead.
Source File: http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/posting.php?mode=edit&f=3&p=53636
Line: 0

2) More than 9 instances of this one
Error: list is undefined
Source File: chrome://tabmixplus/content/utils.js
Line: 214

3) This one is sporadic (not frequent), I'm unfamiliar with NoScript's ABE/XSS settings so I'll try to learn it this weekend...
[ABE] <LOCAL> Deny on {GET http://127.0.0.1:4001/isrunning <<< http://tmp.garyr.net/forum/posting.php?mode=reply&f=3&t=10888 - 2}

EDITv2: Haven't rebooted OS yet but restarted FF and problem was gone again...

I encountered this problem months ago and the people in the Binary Turf forums offered no help at all, despite many with the same problem.

I switched to Chroma Tabs Plus and haven't looked back.

Oneman,

Tested on latest Fx 8 beta,Aurora and Nightly builds with latest TMP Dev build 3.8.7pre111011a. The problem below may have been happening on previous versions of Fx and TMP also.

OK, awhile back you stated TMP is set to reuse/recycle about:blank tab by default, so I gave it a test.

When only having an about:blank tab, TMP does reuse/recycle the about:blank tab:

1. When loading URLS or keywords typed into the address bar
2. When loading any bookmarks
3. When selecting the 'home page' toolbar button

But doesn't reuse/recycle the about:blank tab if TMP is set to load "home page" or "about:home" on New Tabs when selecting the "New Tab" toolbar button.

Blank tabs aren't reused when they have a history. So just calling "about:blank" blanks the screen but won't be reused (which is a pity IMO)
This was discussed before but there was no comment by onemen about this issue.

rob64rock,

clicking on new tab button or ctrl-t or File>New tab,
always create new tab (with or without user address) regardless if the current tab is blank or not.

@system001: TMP Options [Session>Start/Exit>When Browser Starts>Don't Restore]
You have three options: always restore, always ask, don't restore. TMP doesn't count how many saved sessions you have, it simply obeys those rules. I'm guessing you selected [Ask Before Restoring] which is why you get the session manager popup whenever you start.

Thx onemen, that fixed it. (:
Sorry for spamming, felt like something went array in my FF n wasn't sure if it was my fault or not...

On an unrelated note, is there a thread or wiki page that explains all of TMP's features?
Want to find out what [session>restore>reload all tabs] does; I have it disabled but tabs still load/reload on restore so I probably don't know its purpose. :s

Thanks Ray, nice page but doesn't explain what the "Reload all tabs" option does.
http://tmp.garyr.net/help/#Session_-_Restore

EDIT: Did a Google search and got this: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15147
Guess that explains it, reloads all tabs at once...

That's because it is a Firefox command. TMP does not need to add it.

i didn't change any of my settings. as i stated prior to the current tmp dev build when i clicked the exit button i would be asked if i wanted to save the session. if i said no when i launched ff again i would not be presented with the restore last session popup, if i said yes then when i launched ff again i would be presented with the restore session popup. this behavior of popping up every time i launch ff started right after the autoupdate of tmp to the current dev build regardless of hitting save or hitting do not save.

my settings for session restore have always been:
when browser starts, ask before restoring
when browser exits, ask before saving

EDIT:

just updated to Dev-Build 0.3.8.7pre.111011a and still the same behavior.

@system001: Interesting, my session restore ALWAYS pops up, but I also have saved windows from the dark ages...
Minor issue though, I'd say onemen's looking at it already.
Try this build: http://tmp.garyr.net/dev-builds/tab_mix ... 11012a.xpi

@Ray: I'm asking because TMP (iirc) reloads all tabs by default when you open/restore a previous session, so the option seems redundant to me...

I decided to try different ways: Restoring from the session manager popup I have enabled at startup, and also the session manager button on my add-on bar. Both load/reload restored tabs (again, from my pov...maybe I'm wrong).

So I went to [FF>History>Restore Previous Session] and it brought the session back, but didn't load the tabs. \o/
Lo n behold, it did what I wanted (obeyed max_concurrent_tabs = 0 and only loads tabs I activate/select/view...)
But I'm not sure if this is TMP feature or a button that somehow carried over from FF default session manager.

EDIT: Tried saving multiple sessions but button only restores previous session, so must be carry-over, but I like it.
My alternative is usually to restore via TMP and switch between private browsing and normal to enforce [concurrent_tabs] setting.

I see what you mean...
Usually it says "Your Startup session is empty!" and only has an Okay button, right?
Just hit escape or click don't restore...will probably be fixed later...

The about:blank tab that I tested in my above post had no back/foward history, so the issue of TMP not reuse/recycle the about:blank when TMP is set to load 'home page' on 'new tab' toolbar button is not relevant to the situation you mentioned.

Oneman,

Is there any way you can add the option in a future TMP release for those(new tab button or ctrl-t or File>New tab) to reuse about:blank tabs, like the others I mentioned in my 1st post above.

I will be very appreciative and grateful, and always keep up the good work...

Good to see you here Brian :)

In order to help us find the problem you have look in our Troubleshooting.
Most of the problem can be incompatibility with other extensions or with theme if you are using multi-row.
try to identify the if the cause is other extension or theme and report back
