my problem is described by Anton remained. you fix it? if yes then give me the address of Anton I'll write to him that he had translated correctament ...
Quote:
Hi!

Just read complains of the SvEgiiVEteR in the forum in the new development build topic. Because of the bad translation, nobody can understand his problem, so I try to translate and explain it properly.

I also have the second problem he has. To reproduce this, you have to open many tabs, so there is no more empty space on the right side (the whole strip is full of tabs), and all tabs start to get smaller, because there is no space for all of them in a full length. But there is still enough space for them in one row, so you don’t get another row (my settings) or the scroll buttons. Now you can start to close tabs, one after another. They disappear, but the space they left wouldn’t be reused! There is a gap, an unused space at the right side of the strip, because there is no immediate re-layout of the remaining tabs. After some time or some event (open a new tab helps for example) TMP get it and re-layout the whole bunch. I see this from some betas of the FFx 4 and TMP for it onwards, and still have this behavior. After FFx 8 this behavior slightly changes: sometimes it takes a couple of seconds for TMP to close the tab, but after this delay everything would be properly re-layout. As SvEgiiVEteR, I have a clear profile now with only TMP installed, and still experienced this issue. It isn’t a big trouble, I got to use it in the past month, but it just looks ugly. And it isn’t important, if I use the latest development or release version.

Another issue of SvEgiiVEteR is that he claims that scrolling with a mouse wheel has now some kind of velocity or acceleration. In the pre-April versions of TMP it scrolls on tab after another. Now it scrolls more and more tabs if you continuously turn the wheel.

As usual at the end I would like to thank you for your support of this add-on. This is one of the reasons I still on the FFx and didn’t change my browser.

Syncerely yours, Anton

Hey, thanks for the new build, but how can I disable the smooth scrolling for tabs? The animation only slows down my workflow.

try to set toolkit.scrollbox.smoothScroll to false

I'm not sure I will ever use smooth scrolling, however. I'm really happy with the way the tabs work in 0.3.8.7. So, I vote for the 0.3.8.7-style configuration (if smooth scrolling is disabled), and your 0.4.0pre configuration (if smooth scrolling is enabled) ... as you suggested.

same here, for me, this is a real deal-breaker, pinned tabs need to stay where they are, that's why i pin them.

You don't need to worry, this is only the first dev-build for the future Tabmix 0.4.0.

i will add an option to set all the pinned tab in one row (without smooth scroll)
but you will have to be patient for the old behavior to come back, it may take a few dev-builds

The exact same thing is happening with the Speed Dial add-on aswell, no matter what you do, it won't load speed dial when a new tab is opened.

For Speed Dial fix you will have to wait for the next dev-build

After updating to 0.4.0pre.111126a tab scrolling now scrolls 2 tabs at a time, same with 111127a

Anything I can do to fix that, or just wait for an update?

Thanks :)

I'm still sticking to the test build 1112a 'cause:

makondo wrote:
The original problem was (is with all builds since, if i'm not mistaken, 111011a which was the last one that worked fine ... or the one before it) - viewtopic.php?p=53769#p53769
When clicking links, some unexpectedly open in the current tab (set to open all in new tabs). Sometimes a link will open in the same AND in a new tab (double that is).
I don't see this happening with the test build.
You can go to the members list, for instance, and click the names. Suddenly, one will open as i said - in the current or in the current and a new one. It doesn't have to be different links, i can keep clicking the same link. It will open properly with the test build but any other build will eventually pop in the current tab, it's just a matter of time - sometimes it takes 5 clicks, sometimes 10 ...
I can try previous builds to see which one exactly was the last to work properly for me (when i find time to do so).

EDIT: OK, 1012a is the first one where this problem occurs. 1011a works fine. As soon i install 1012a, it's back. Tried 3 times.

If you use the multi-row tab bar all opened tabs will not resize themselves automatically when you go from more than 1 row of tabs to a single row. All tabs remain at the minimum width until you open a new tab when all tabs will resize themselves to the proper width.

you go from more then 1 row to one by deleting tabs, delete 1 tab, by changing the settings,
or by other methods ?

if you do it by clicking on close tab button, then it is by Firefox design to freeze the tab width until you leave the tab area

It happens when I close the tabs one by one with cmd/ctrl+w and also when I use the option "Close other tabs". This started with the 0.4.0 releases.

I've attached my preferences.

A recent build (I'm currently running 0.4.0pre.111127a) introduced the following bug:

Pinned Tabs are loading in vertical columns on the left side of my bookmark bar (vs. horizontally from left to right on the top bookmark row) with recent Aurora builds.

XX

instead of
