@Endor no, I think check/uncheck box missing in front of text, like in previous tab...

Anyway, "Progress meter on tabs" is unusable.

I think "Progress meter on tabs" is correct/intentional. Users can apply their preference by checking the box in front of "Background Color" or uncheck it to not apply changes based on the color selected there.

tmpuser5286,

before you click customize you need to enable Progress meter on tabs in the tab panel.
http://tmp.garyr.net/help/#Display_-_Tab

i will enable the checkbox also in the style window

@onemen tnx a lot, I miss this checkbox.

One question. Why post links (from thumbnails) from DevArt won't opet in new tab? I set up everything in settings, to be opened in new tabs.

Can you make TMP compatible with ViewMarks to allow open links in background tab when user hold ctrl key?

Just a headsup... there appears to still be a compatibility glitch with:
TMP 0.4.0pre120102a
Ffox Nightly 12.0a1 (2012-01-10) (the last couple of builds)
SessionManager v0.7.8.1pre20111029.

I experienced the glitch using TMP 0.4.0pre.111220a as well (I tried the latest build just today). They worked fine together for me until the Nightly build 2 days back.
I could no longer get prior sessions to load until disabling TMP. They load normally with it disabled. [also, with TMP enabled it no longer loaded 5 pinned tabs; I'm not sure if that's relevant to Sessions, but jic]

kimmersly,

how it work for you without Tabmix ?

Arrrgh ...!

It never occurred to me to check that, as I don't recall that FF had that function built-in in
the past. Near as I can tell googling about, is that is was implemented sometime in 2Q2011.
As may be ... my mouse-wheel tab bar scrolling problems are indeed present in native FF.

I spent the past couple days looking around for a solution in about:config, but didn't see any
obvious variables to twiddle. Tried a couple other extensions, but they weren't satisfactory,
nor did google turn up anything much.

Would it be possible to add this as a feature to TMP? At least the ability to scroll the tab bar
by a single tab at a time (instead of in large jumps).

The ability to always have the leftmost tab justified against the left edge (no partial tabs on
the left side) would be nice also.

Cheers ...

I am having these exact problems. Is it because something changed in nightly as of 9 Jan 2012 or 10 Jan 2012?

BTW, onemen and garyr and everyone else - Happy (belated) New Year!

Onemen - it seems like almost all of TMP settings are broken. I'm going to test the exact same settings in a new profile and see if my profile might also be having issues, and then I'll post them here if these SM issues still manifest.

But, for right now, even my 'focus last tab' (either when closing a tab of using CTRL + TAB) setting is not working. So, I'm investigating on my own first.

Tested with a brand new profile and no errors at all. Profile is at fault, although the timing is suspicious at best. but, since it works in a new profile, I'll just make a new profile and run with it. (BTW, I use TMP's SM as opposed ot the native one).

Still want a settings post?

You might want to find the ext. it conflicts with. Disable half, restart, then another half, etc.

Rather than play with the existing profile, b/c it has other issues as well (as in on load the bookmarks toolbar does not display, and I have to disable and re-enable it to get it to show) I'm going to do this with the new profile. I'm adding TMP and then adding all my other addons one by one with restart (even the restartless ones) and seeing which one breaks SM. I'll report back when I'm finished testing.

Well, that didn't take long lol.

AIOS v0.7.14 is broken and is breaking TMP as well as Nightly. It is preventing last tab settings, breaking the display of the bookmarks toolbar, and breaking TMPs SM - as soon as I disable it everything works.

Glad I didn't start from the end of the alphabet and work in reverse :P

EDIT: Added the following

Confirmed in my original profile as well. AIOS 0.7.14 is the root cause of all my problems.

Forgot to mention that I did that first thing. No joy, no matter what I did to the settings.

Also, the tab bar scrolling was working just fine with FF 3.6.25 and TMP (as well as all the
way back to FF 2.x, IIRC). Same settings as now, WRT the mouse wheel.

Only when I upgraded to FF 9.0.1 did the problems appear. Things like this are *exactly*
why I held off upgrading so long, but the constant FF crashes with 3.6.xx finally got the
best of me. I just knew something like was going to happen ...

Thanks for the suggestion though. Any other ideas ...?
