It does, there's not much difference between vista and win7 for this matter and my shot clearly shows that the code does work: you can see that my menu is 200px high. If it doesn't work for you, there's something else going on.
Since you say you see the same in a clean profile, i'd say it's not TMP but something else. Plus, as i said, there's no reason why this style wouldn't work either.

I wonder why 111101a works fine without 'dance with codes', and recent doesn't.

It's my styles, was too lazy to go to another profile or disable them.
Here, my styles disabled, set to 200px but i can change it to anything and it works every time therefor 'none' should work as well but since i don't have that problem, i can't take a shot to prove it:

Hmm, it would be better to make that option optional... hehe. In TMP\Options or about:config
And I keep dreaming about multi-column, Opera-style.
