Hello,

Since the new version is installed (0.4.0), both the TMP options screen and the shortcuts on tabs have a non-english language, although I haven't changed anything!

I susspect TMP used the Content/Languages preference from the browser, but that preference is for web pages only and does not affect the browsers UI language (which is English for me)!

I searched all tabs and panels in TMP options, but haven't been able to find Language switch dropdown.

Please fix this by a) providing a language switch option and b) don't suppose in the future about what my preference is or should be as that is very intrusive (especially when it's done wrong).
Thank you.

Where did you get the new version? Uninstall it, clear about:config and install it from onemen signature.

It autoupdated to 0.4.0.
I'm on FF 10.0.2 on Win7 64.

Strangely, on the laptop (also win7 64 and also FF 10.0.2) the TMP config and the tab options are in english, though both the browser and the OS have the same configuration...
I'll export the TMP config from the laptop and try it on the desktop.

TMP does nothing with languages and there's no option for languages. Is TMP options window the only one in 'non-english' language? What language is it? Some strangely confused localle maybe .... Re-install it from onemen signature.

The language is Croatian.

Tried resetting TMP settings.
Tried importing settings from laptop (which has same region, ff, same everything).
Tried uninstalling 0.4.0.
Tried installing 0.4.0pre...

No difference.

Screenshots attached.

Try a clean profile with this version/default settings. Then import your settings.

In about:config change the value of general.useragent.locale
to the language you want:

hr-HR - Croatian
en-US - English

about:config / general.useragent.locale has value: en-US.

New profile works, but I don't want to create a new proffile (after 5 years I've been using this one).

Thanks for the help, but I think I'll just have to live with it...

Saran,
a new profile is usually for testing purposes (read the troubleshooting tips linked in our signatures). You don't have to use it but it helps to find out if exts. conflict. Like in this case - obviously TMP is all right but something else in your profile is messing with it. What other exts. do you use?

I see 3 exts. in Croatian(?) language (locale) - ABP, FlashGot and TMP. Do you have an idea why? Did you install them from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US ?

You may want to try to install/reinstalling any extension. I know when I'm testing locales, when I change back to en-US I have to reload any one to have it recognized. I think the language is cached somewhere that is rebuilt when an extension changes (or is reloaded.)

edit: or you may be able to set nglayout.debug.disable_xul_cache = true, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you develop extensions.

News flash.
Btw. since I've tried all the options to fix the behavior as suggested and all has failed, I decided just to live with it. But, "now" (actually, can't certainly tell since when) it's working as expected :)
Don't know if it was FF12 or TMP 0.4.0.1, but it just started working in the meantime.
