I tried searching the posts for this problem but it's so hard to describe, I had trouble coming up with search terms.

Anyway, the problem is that quite frequently when I've had Firefox open for a while, the mouse cursor functions in the address bar, the search bar and text boxes within web pages become totally unresponsive. For instance, when I click in the address bar it's supposed to select the URL that's already there by turning blue. Then you can enter a new URL and that action automatically deletes the previous address. When the bug occurs and I click in the address bar nothing happens. The cursor doesn't even appear. And the address that is currently there, remains.

Normally you can left click on any part of the URL and drag and save that part. This bug prevents any type of action with the cursor. It prevents you from left clicking, dragging and copying. You can click at the end of the URL and press the backspace key to delete it but the cursor is not visible.

The bug causes basically the same problems in the search bar except normally when you click the cursor there, the text that is already there disappears. The bug causes nothing to happen when you click in the search bar. Again, if you click at the end of the text, you can delete it with the backspace key even though the cursor doesn't appear. Basically the same problems in text boxes within web pages.

There are two ways to fix it. Either restart Firefox or open a new window. Opening a new window fixes the problem in the new window and the original window.

I methodically removed every add-on I had installed until I found the culprit. The only add-on I currently have installed is TMP. When I uninstall it, the problem goes away.

As you can see it isn't an easy problem to describe let alone come up with search terms that might find a similar post. Is it a problem that anyone else has described or experienced?

There's a bug with cursor in Fx but i don't remember which version(-s), read it in the nightlies thread a couple times. I've seen it once too, had to restart Fx. Don't know the cause but i'm on Fx12b.
You need to post more info: your OS, Fx and TMP versions. Try a clean profile (even with all exts. removed/disabled, there might be leftovers in your prefs.js that conflict). Disable HA (hardware acceleration: Fx Options > Advanced > General).
There's no need for poll. If somebody else experiences the same, they will post here.
