I guess the latest nightly breaks TMP.

Hello;

I wasn't saying the problem is with TMP... I was just saying that my problem sounds very similar to Ziggar's.

I was just wondering if his problem remains without TMP installed.

I have a 32 bit windows 7 machine with pretty much the same addons and profile that is running the latest everything and it's working just fine.

With the latest TMP and Nightly, tab order isn't preserved when I restart Firefox or exit private browsing.
Not sure when this started happening but it's been some days now.

I've tried a new profile, a new OS and a different computer. It's happening on all of them. So that's Windows 7 x64/x86 and XP x86, latest Nightly (or UX) and TMP 0.4.0pre.111126a and up (so the cause is a change in Nightly, not TMP).
However, on those other installs it only started happening after I imported my settings, so here they are: http://pastebin.com/yBsD6g0d.

try to reduce browser.sessionstore.interval

Found the setting that's causing it: "Open other tabs next to current one" without selecting either of the related settings.
I suppose I can live with enabling "Only if related to current tab", but on my main profile this causes another issue... -_-
If I enable that it's disabled again when I reopen the options. I'll check which extension's causing that conflict.
EDIT: It's Tree Style Tab, which I really need.
And "Change opening order" only fixes the issue if TST is disabled.

TST don't allow "Only if related to current tab" to be true.
browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent is always false

I have set the size of my tabs to 190 in TMP and when Firefox starts I see the tabs start off normal width and then shrink to 190. Using either Tab Mix Lite or Custom Tab Width addons Firefox starts with my custom width with no shrink on startup. Could TMPs behavior be modified so that it applies the tab width like this also?

In Nightly, I think there is a conflict between "Switch to last selected tab when clicking current one" and "Mouse click (down and release) to select a tab". I cannot reproduce it in Firefox 12.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/15.0 Firefox/15.0a1 (0517 build, but I have seen the problem for some time)
TMP 0.4.0.3pre.120518a (also for the past 1 or 2 versions)

Steps to reproduce:
0. In a new profile, install TMP only.
1a. In TMP's Options > Mouse > Mouse Gestures, enable "Switch to last selected tab when clicking current one" and "Mouse click (down and release) to select a tab".
1b. In Mouse Clicking, set double-click on a tab to Reload the tab. (This step is for proof checking only and is not necessary to reproduce the conflict.)
2. Open a few tabs. (5 or more is recommended)
3. Quickly and randomly switch tabs by single-left-clicking.

Result:
After a few clicks, the tab focus may unwillingly switch back to the previous selected tab.

The symptom is like when you mouse down at tab A, A becomes the active tab. But when you mouse up now, previous selected tab B becomes the active tab again. This only happens after quickly switching through tabs for a few times.

p.s. My mouse should be working properly. There is no accidental double-clicking.
