Not sure what has happened, but for the last few hours TMP has been causing all sorts of issues with Firefox 12.0 for me.
New tabs won't open, Google search bar won't work, opening links in new tabs won't open, opening favorites from the toolbar won't work either.
I have disabled all other add-ons except TMP, and the issue still occurs. If I disable TMP, everything works as normal. Rebooted also with no improvement.
I installed the latest beta, but the error still occurs.

Here are the errors shows in the console upon starting FF:

Quote:

Okay, this error occurs every time I try to open a favorite from the toolbar or a Google search from the bar:

Error: _0x3298x88 is not defined

Hope that helps!

Uninstall, clear cache, restart. Install the latest dev.build.
If this doesn't help, try a clean profile.

There are no other extensions... just TMP for now. I uninstalled the rest, so the list is empty except for TMP 0.4.0.2.

What's your OS? Did you migrate any files to the new profile? Where do you download TMP build from? Have you tried the latest dev.build (link in my signature)?

Win7 x64.

No, I just created a completely new FF profile and tried installing TMP at the first thing.
I did try the latest build from your sig, but still getting the same problem.

I think I will install Firefox and see if that resolves the issue, as I can't see what else it might be :(

Getting this error with the current beta of TMP:

Quote:
Timestamp: 1/06/2012 4:10:00 PM
Error: _0x3298x88 is not defined
Source File: chrome://tabmixplus/content/utils.js
Line: 357

which is right in between the getBoolPref and getIntPref functions.

Reinstalling Fx rarely helps anything. However, you said you have the same problem(-s) in a clean profile? This is odd. As you can see, none of us experience this. The errors look like your Fx doesn't see TMP being installed. Can you check if it's enabled?

Yes, I pretty much reinstalled FF because the issue was occurring even in the new profile.

TMP is definitely enabled. Half of FF stops working when I enable it. I can't open links from favorites or use the Google search bar when it's turned on.

I am very confused as I've used this addon for many years with zero problems, then yesterday it decided to stop working. There has been no other installation of software on the machine for a few weeks, so this is quite puzzling. If I can provide any other sort of logs or even host a remote session if you are curious let me know.

Seems to work fine on an XP machine I just installed it onto, but no dice on my main Win7 workstation.
Did another complete uninstall of FF, deleted every Mozilla labelled folder, rebooted and reinstalled a freshly downloaded copy of FF 12.0.
Installed TMP from addons.mozilla.org and still getting the same issue.

I feel like I've done everything possible to eliminate variables, but if there's something I've missed, let me know and I will try it.
I've been pulling my hair out for 4 hours now trying to sort this out. I guess that's how much I value the addon :(

Argh, installed FF 11.0... same problem.

The problem is most likely elsewhere, but the hunt will be a long one that I am not interested in.
Might be time to move to Chrome, as I don't have the patience to format my machine just to get TMP working.

I will keep at it though and if I find the solution will post an update. I'm not in a great mood at the moment :(

Are there any places other than the Error Console where I might be able to see what exactly is happening?

I've never done any addon development, so this is all new to me. I'm just struggling to figure out why the other ~5 addons I always use work perfectly, but FF won't run TMP any more.

If you have autoupdates turned on, it could be that some ext. now conflicts with TMP. But you say you have the same problem in a clean profile and that's puzzling.
You keep saying "Google search bar", what is it? Can you disable it?

I'm sorry, i don't know about other logs. Maybe onemen (the developer) can help you with that.

Take a deep breath and relax, it's just a browser, we'll get to the bottom of this (i hope Image ).

Google search bar is just the default search bar in the top right hand corner of Firefox. I don't even think it can be disabled, but it's not an extension and just part of FF.

Heheh, I yeah I hope we can get to the bottom of it somehow.

Unfortunately it can't be another extension conflicting with it, as I have removed Firefox completely as well as my profile and only re-installed TMP and the issue still occurs.
Fingers crossed onemen can have some input on what else I can test. Looking forward to any assistance :)

I've calmed down a bit today, but I struggled with the issue for ~10 hours yesterday with no result, hence me being a bit mad :P

I don't see any problem in my win 7 x64
when you create new profile got to toll Add-ons and make sure there are no 3rd party extensions installed
if you have some disabled all other 3rd party extensions before you install Tabmix

if that did not help try to disable (in your test profile) your Plugins

Report about your findings

I assumed it means clean profile with TMP only.

Atlantis,
just to clarify since so many terms are thrown around:
"addons" are - extensions, plugins and themes combined. Plugins are not extensions.
When you go to the addons manager in a clean new profile, make sure you don't have any extensions installed other than TMP. None, not even disabled.
Then add your other exts. one by one and restart inbetween until you see the problem again.

Exact same problem for me, since May 31 as well.

FF 11.0, TMP 0.3.8.~

Then upgraded to FF 12.0, TMP 0.4.0.~

Tried other tab extensions that provide multiline tabs - same error/result.
