I have recently noticed a new behaviour in Firefox 13 and / or Tab Mix Plus.
I used to be able to highlight a word, right click on it and search for... using my default search engine.
It would open a new tab in the background and allow me to continue reading whatever it is I am reading.

But now when I do this, it opens a new tab in focus.
I would like to change this behaviour back to how I had it previously.

Is this a Tab Mix Plus setting? I have tried changing some settings, but without luck.
And ideas?

bug 727131 - Pref needed to allow "Search for ..." tabs to open in background

There is a new preference in Firefox for that - browser.search.context.loadInBackground
set it to true

type InBackground in about:config to see all options to open tab is the background
