Hi,

Tried to contribute some money for this excellent Add-On using Windows XP (SP3) + FF 14.0.1 and wasn't able to because the redirection to PayPal failed (repeatably). The browser window became darkened and inactive with the status bar indicating something was being loaded. The progress bar then stopped leaving the inactive window and without any other windows or Tabs being created i.e. still no PayPal dialogue. Went directly to my PP account - no sign of any related activity. The version of TMP is 0.4.0.3.

Went over to my Mac (OSX 10.4.11 + FF 3.6.28) and repeated the exercise - NO PROBLEM! After greying out the window a PP pop-up window appeared enabling me to log on to my account and make the contribution. When that was done I closed the pop up and the browser page ungreyed itself to a normal functioning window again. The version of TMP on this Mac is 0.3.8.7.

Just one other thing; on the Windows machine a new Tab did appear at some point containing the message "We're sorry, but we can't find what you're looking for." (URL = https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/1122/) I don't know if it's appearance was related to the problem.

Hope this is an unusual occurrence - I'd hate to think the developer isn't receiving all the contributions for such a great product!

Will

Thanks for the report, Will, onemen and/or Gary will probably take a look into it. Do you have the same antivirus installed on both machines? Do you have the same exts. installed?

Hi makondo,

The Mac has no virus software installed and the PC has Norton Internet Security installed, but currently disabled. Therefore anti-virus software wouldn't have had a bearing on matters. Re FF extensions, I have the same on both plus a few more on the Mac. However not all the Mac exts. are current releases because FF hasn't supported Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger) for a while now and some of the exts. I'm using are effectively 'frozen' at the version numbers I'm using. TMP is an example of this (v0.3.8.7 on the Mac and v0.4.0.3 on the PC)
