it seems some people are overwealmed by the options present in the options dialog. once they see the amount of options or the amount they have to read, they quickly uninstall it or call it bloat

although i really like to encourage others to take time to try the options one by one, i dont feel like forcing them.

my idea is to have an advanced mode type of dialog. take a look at the options from all-in one gestures to know what i mean.

if you guys like the idea. the "simple" mode would go on by default in new installs. it would include the most basic of functions for people.

this would make the options window alot smaller since probably half the options wont be visible. however i dont know if this should be done, its just an idea that poped into my mind. please give feedback

I like it as long as there is an advanced option as well so those of us who like to tinker with TMP can still do so. :)

there will, the simple mode will only include the most used functions

i believe most get a bad impression by the menu options, thats why its not shown

Go for it!
I see your point. When i first began using Fx, i installed TBE - first thing, of course! - and was just sssso confused for a while. Screwed everything up promptly and ... yes, uninstalled it (which is a good thing 'cause i went right on looking for a substitute and found TabMix!). I'd imagine i'm not alone in that boat.
I think it's a good move, helpful for new users.

I like to have the possibility to customize a lot of things and with your tool, I am satisfied. :P

But you are right, 2 modes, simple (by default) and advanced, will be a good thing. 8)

I have not seen in your images how to go in the advanced mode :!:

Best regards ;)

CPU, i don't think its a good idea to hide options,
it will just make new user hard to find the options they need.

i think its better to put link to the help file and to the FAQ from the option menu like the link in the about dialog.

if you know how , make the help file html , so we can edit the content and iprove the help

May be some 'More Options' button to take you to the advanced mode? The word 'Advanced' may seem just as intimidating to a new/'unadvanced' user as having so many options available in the first place. Clicking Help and searching is good but time consuming = may be a setoff just as well. I've read some reviews complaining that it has ssso much to configure, it's painful.

Well, it's a little scary at first but very useful. :-)

Anyway it’s true that I have read a lot of comments on different forum about the “too much options”

This is a great idea to make the extension seem lighter for those who don't need so many options, but I think that the advanced mode should be accessible outside the settings menu.

You could add the button for Advanced items along the menubar of TMP (next to Session, or even better - right at the end to set it apart from the other options). I think that it would be better to have a button that changes from 'More Options' or 'Advanced Mode' (default) into ''Less Options' or 'Simple Mode' (when clicked and advanced options enabled). The excellent Menu Editor extension has a good example of what I mean:

https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/m ... on=firefox

It would be ok, but if the default is simple options, then any new upgrade should honor the more complex settings of prior users.
