Any chance of making a plugin for Google Chrome? I really like TMP, but I also like Chrome. It would appear on the surface, that since Chrome is based on FireFox, that it wouldn't be that difficult to make a Chrome plugin, but I don't know that to be the case. I'm not a programmer, so I have no idea how similar or different Chrome is from FireFox, but it would be nice to have. :D

It's really very simple and a search will bring up a few threads that went nowhere.
The developers don't use chrome and apparently are not interested in porting TMP to it. Remember, it's not just a matter of one time coding it to work in chrome but a matter of time to support it.

Are you sure about Chrome not being based on FireFox? I know that the Chrome O/S is based on Linux (I think) but I thought that the browser was based on FireFox source code....

Either way, I think it would be a great idea to add Tab Mix Plus to Chrome, because the only session/toolbar management plugin I could find sucks compared to this project. :-)

Too bad. I like this tool, and if I were a programmer, I'd volunteer to help port and maintain it, but I understand what you're saying. Guess I'll have to choose between FireFox and Chrome. I think there's some things that each of them is better at.

I too am in favor of the devs porting Tab Mix Plus to Google Chrome. It is the only extension / addon that Chrome is missing in my opinion. The lack of multi-row support in Chrome is a real nag for mutlitaskers that can't help having 20 tabs open (like me!).

I'd be glad to beta test it out for the devs if they don't use Chrome themselves. I'm sure there are a few more like me that would be right there for this.

And seeing how many other addons for Firefox have been ported to Chrome, I can't see this being a good excuse. There are tons of Firefox addons that are also Chrome extensions now.

I've been trying out Chrome because Firefox in notorious for giving me javascript errors, flash crashing, freezing for no reason & using a tone of ram. While Chrome also seems to use a bit of ram, it hasn't frozen once or given me any of the above errors.

Please guys, consider doing this! You might be surprised at how many people are really happy about it! The Chrome extensions for tabs that are currently up for use are a joke compared to your app! Please be good sports & port Tab Mix Plus to Chrome so those of us tired of Firefox can still benefit from your awesome app!

Me too! Please, Tab Mix Plus for Chrome! Like Chrome much better than Firefox (which is already good), but can't switch 100% because I've gotten so used to the comfort of Tab Mix Plus.

I'll throw my vote in for TMP for Chrome. I just switched from FF and was surprised to see that there is nothing out there like TMP for Chrome. Seems like there is an opportunity here to serve a growing audience...

Hold the [shift] key when clicking on a link to open it in a new window.
There is currently no way to change the default behavior for opening links.

Please don 't turn this thread into chrome help thread. Isn't there a forum for chrome?
Locking.
