The focus isn't in the URL bar right after startup if the homepage is about:blank.
Incompatible with menumanipulator, after this fix you will be able to change tab context menu order with menumanipulator.
Incompatible with ez sidebar, after undock ez sidebar closes middle clicking and double clicking not work.

improvements:

Add icon to tabmix menu items.
Closed tabs list button now only show the list when clicked, to restore last closed tab you can:
- select the first tab from closed tabs list.
- Undo close Tab from tab context menu.
- Undo close Tab from main context menu.
- press Ctrl + F12.
- Middle-click close button on tabbar
- Ctrl + Click closed tabs list button.
- ..... that's enough.

2006-01-02 version:

When only one tab is open and tabbar is hide, when opening 2nd tab, tabs shrinks nearly to icon size for 1 second
Incompatibility with Diggler... enter key from location bar not work.
In single window mode:
- user can't restore session if Overwrite existing windows isn't checked.

Link from another program (usually Thunderbird) open to blank page with some tabmix setting
Rename tab not change window title.
In multi-row selected tab is not visible after the option dialog closed.

improvements:

When close tab button is on menu mode Ctrl+click on the tab restore last removed tab , and remember you can also pres Ctrl+F12 to do the same.
If search or Location bar is set to open in a new tab, Alt+Enter open the search result or location in the current tab
,if the tab isn't lock..... and vice versa (see bug 315034).

2005-12-23 version:
Important Remark: we changed some preference default - check tabmix option and adjust setting if necessary.

After the browser-start TMP shrinks the tabs nearly to icon size, when enable session manger with "Don't Restore" and load more than one home page.

Tab Mix Plus inteferes with Wordpress 2.0 RC1's WYSIWYG post.
when open link from external link, firefox was not get the focus if the current tab is blank.

improvements:

Apply button in tabmix options enabled only when new setting is different from the save settings.
Add Closed Windows List button, and also "Closed Windows List" is show in session manager menu when the button is hidden, and to Tools > Session Manager menu if you hide "Closed Windows List" in Toolls menu.
Add label "Session Manager Loading..." to first tab until tab is loading.
Add the tab context menu to open tab list when it open from tab list button.
Add middle-click on Go button duplicate the current tab.
Add new pref to make close tab list button to only show the menu (single-function style). the pref is in event > Tab Features

tab loses width after darg when tabmix drag mark is on (the arrow)

session manager restore tabs that was deleted, if the tab was deleted befor its finish to load in the last session.
show horizontal multi-row arrows when multi-row = 2 and close tab button (on tabbar) is visible.
don't show open in history & bookmarks context menus if current tab is lock and make "Open in New Tab" the default.
open new tab by enter key in bookmark manager if current tab is locked.
When closing tabs with middle mouse click, rapid click don't work.
hopefully fix the problems with selecting tab on mouseover (report if not).

improvements:

better look to new tab button on tabbar.
cleaner and faster code to select tab after tab closed (report any "NEW" bug / Regressions)
Ctrl+Tab can show Pop Up List for Normal Tab Navigation. to use Normal Ctrl+Tab without the popup uncheck "Ctrl-Tab navigates tabs in most recently used order" and "Ctrl-Tab display tab list popup menu" (both are unchecked by default).

2005-10-08 version:

Add Session Manager to TabMix Plus, you can add it to tools menu and add toolbar button. the menu have entry to save one window session (Ctrl+F1) or to save all window as a session (Ctrl+F9), when you in on window session the save all window is disabled. it also list all your save sessoin and the last 2 sessoin. right to each session name you can see some info about the session (nW, mT) (Data Time).
nW is for number of windows in the sessoin and mT is for total number of tabs in the session. click on session entry restore that session.
right click the menu on one of the saved or closed session a context menu. see screenshot at the forum link above.
Add Closed Window List to tools menu (toolbar button will add soon as i found proper icon), evry window you close during the current session is in the list, also you can set pref (look at option > session) to "Before Overwrite, Save Existing Windows to Closed Window List"
when firefox restart Session Manager restore all windows that closed in the last 10 sec in the last session. you can set Session Manager to ask you what to do each time you start firefox, or you can disable it.
new Crash Recovery ability added to TabMix Plus, after crash it restore the session (windows, tabs, closed tab list, closed window list)
closed tab now save lock , protext and permission state.

anywho onemen has done a wonderful job in .3 alpha!! as promised, it .3 will bring a session manager into TMP

we are getting ready to get some brave testers to test the extension. be aware that it may be buggy and not all functions are fully complete but for the most part, most of the work is done. the extension isnt nearly done being localized since alot of new strings were added but that will be taken care of once its released.

OK, it worked in a new profile with 4 (startup homepage) tabs - restored. Next i tried 15 tabs - a blank page hanged frozen.
Cleaned about:config of all sessionsaver entries, re-tried a few times, same thing. The rest of TMP works just fine as before.
Tried both - the one CPU sent me and the one from the site.
"Used" profile with 14 extensions - no go even for startup homepage. Blank page hanging frozen.
Sorry, i deleted the new profile before i could look into js console, stupid! But i'm willing to try again (after a bit of sleep Smile

).
BTW, i like the tabbed menu options, thank you, guys!

EDIT: there's something else i forgot to mention. When startup tabs restored, they're messed up (in order). This happens only the first time though. After re-starting Fx with tabs put in order again, they'll restore correctly.

No, i was wrong - they still messed up. Plus, at least one will come up as "Untitled" but! the good news is it comes with history and therefor reloading will load the tab correctly.

For the most part it works great, nice and fast. It did fail to save a session once, it asked for a name (defaulted to current page title) which is fine, then when i looked at the list it had the session, A in this case, but no name beside it, and no obvious reason for failure, jsconsole wasnt set to show all at time Sad

. A second but minor issue is the load session on startup, going through two screens to pick from a saved session is kinda pointless, couldn't the list appear straight away? And finally the only session details that appear in the startup list is the name, this isn't enough if you save more than one session with the same name.
I will keep testing. Keep up the great work, finally a complete replacement to TBE.

Possibly related to session saving, but for some reason none of the multirow/scrollbar w/wo buttons actually work for me. I will experiment with tmp2.4.1 and see if the problem exists there. No jsconsole messages, but I am using a nightly build: 20051003 Firefox/1.4.1, new profile, no other extensions.

OK I tried both 2.4.0 and 2.4.1, and the same problem occurs with both. Hopefully this compatibility problem with be sorted soon Smile

for the session name missing it could be language problem. which language are you using. and what was the current page title at the time you try to save the session. you can always rename save session with the context menu (see first post above).

"going through two screens to pick from a saved session" only appear if you select "Ask Me Befor Restore" in the option dialog...
i can change it to show the session list right away... but let here what other have to say about this.

as for your third remark: in the far future i see in my imagination that the list will open like the bookmark menu or bookmark manager to all the session levels: session > windows > tabs > history

The language I'm using is en (en_us, aka default), the session name is from the title of the page www.miranda-im.org. Saving a session has worked several times with this page as the title of the session, it was only once that didn't, and as far as I can tell nothing was different compared with successful saves.

Once I've given the SessionSaver a more thorough workout, I'll report back here with any problems.

I just posted as Guest above and instead of saving up a list of errors that I find, I thought I'd report them as I find them, so I don't forget any (and don't overwhelm you:) ). Couple of points:

1) Currently selected tab is not remembered.
2) Empty tabs are not saved.
3) "Save All Windows" context menu item should not be displayed when in Single Window Mode.

4) Not a bug, but I'd like the ability to Import/Export Saved Sessions. This would be a killer feature because it would allow sessions to be moved between machines/profiles.

When either one of these extensions is installed on its own all works O.K.. However if both are installed there are problems.

1) The tab bar disappears.
2) Cannot open new pages in tabs.
3) Using menux I have just one toolbar, navigation & no menubar. Onto this toolbar I have a folder, my quicklinks. This disappears and I am unable to drag it back on again.

Not sure which extension is causing the problem or both.

Will post the same message to the menux bug report

That makes sense now. Don't bother with my js errors, RC is going to be here soon enough. May be CPU should mention this in the first post (1.5 and above ONLY or something), will save some grief of wasted time for people. I'm not brave enough to use betas yet (tried but had no time to fix probs and watch for newer releases), so i'll just keep drooling for now.
