Tab Mix Plus is one of my favorite extensions for both the Windows and Mac OS versions of Firefox.

But also, the GrApple themes by Aronnax are some of my favorite themes on the Mac OS version of Firefox.

There are 2 GrApple themes for Firefox 3:

GrApple Delicious (blue) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6703
GrApple Yummy (blue) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6704

Unfortunately, the latest versions of TMP and of the GrApple themes on Firefox 3 (beta 5) seem to have a few problems when put together.

I really hope you can solve these problems, perhaps by working together with the creator of the GrApple themes, Aronnax.

I've posted a link to this thread in Aronnax's GrApple themes thread at the Mozillazine forums:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=3351794#3351794

Honestly, I really like both Tab Mix Plus and the GrApple themes and I truly hope these issues could be resolved. I would really hate to have to choose between the two.

Thank you very much for your time and effort!

Here are the issues:

GrApple Delicious (blue)

You may not be able to tell, but the tab bar is set to multi-row. When there's only 1 row, everything is fine.

But...

When you have 2 or more rows, the tabs become centered.

GrApple Yummy (blue)

As you can see, things are much worse with this one.

There seems to be 3 close buttons for each tab. Even if I turn off the close button in Tab Mix Plus's options, it'll still be the same.

And the multi-row tab bar problem occurs in this theme as well.

Another issue:

When restoring a session, sometimes, this would occur:

GrApple Delicious (blue)

GrApple Yummy (blue)

Opening a new tab or closing a tab would restore it to normal.

i installed both GrApple theme 0.9.9.8.1
i don't see any problems with the close buttons.

for the centered tab add this to your userChrome.css

.tabbrowser-tabs {
text-align: start !important;
}

Ah, thank you.

Any chance there could be a way this can be fixed by default without having to resort to userChrome.css?
(Well, it'd be nice, but at least there is a way to fix this.)

Hmm, strange.

I'm playing around with the tab settings in the TMP Options, but I just can't get it to change.

There are always 3 close tab buttons in GrApple Yummy.

At most, I can make the "inner" close button go either on the left side or right side.

Ah yes, speaking of the close tab button, I might as well ask here.

I would like to request that middle-clicking the close tab buttons on the tabs would close the tab.

Right now, it would do nothing.

So when you want to close tabs by middle-clicking, you'd have to avoid the close tab buttons.

It's a very small request. (and one that wouldn't take too much effort, I think) I'd really appreciate it if you guys could make this little change.

Thanks again.

the fix for centered tab

.tabbrowser-tabs {
text-align: start !important;
}

is needed only because in the theme there is

.tabbrowser-tabs {
text-align: center;
}

ask the theme developer to fix this.

i'v found the problem with close button on GrApple Yummy (blue) there is display: -moz-box !important; for the .tab-close-button

ask the developer to drop the !important

i've experienced all of these problems, especially with yummy. it's my fave of the themes for FF but I can't live without TMP so for now i use delicious. i've given up trying to fix the multiple close tab button problem after every update.

to make the little arrow thing go away you can also click it...no need to open/close tabs.

Well, looks like everything's fixed in the latest versions of GrApple.

Very glad I can now use both with no problems!

Thanks to everyone!

It still doesn't quite look right...it's acting like there's space allocated for close buttons on each tab even though I've turned them off, so the tab names aren't aligned correctly. I added

.tabbrowser-tabs {
text-align: start !important;
}

to my userChrome.css but it doesn't seem to have made a difference -- they're still off-center.
